Comment:

He is old school lecturer. He is pretty hard but I have taken him 4 times Bc he really gives you ALL the info you need for tests orally. Just pay attention and take notes. He actually becomes very interesting the more you take him. He made me feel like I was in Nazi Germany! I loved this class so much I wrote my Senior Theis on it!

Comment:

I took this class to complete my history general studies so I could graduate. I'm no history major and this was the only class left to take. There is no homework or tests just 3 essays 15-25 pages. This class forces you to investigate on the topics and makes you learn. He is specific as to how he wants his papers, and seems to gradr accordingly.

I have taken several classes taught by Dr. Leslie and HY350 was typical. He is an excellent instructor whose interest in the subject matter is evident. He has a dry sense of humor which makes lectures enjoyable. He is tough but fair. Not an easy A.

The worst professor I have ever had! His syllabus was FULL of formatting issues and typos. Yet, would count off if a period was misplaced on a study guide! Offered no constructive feedback other than "not detailed enough." Also was VERY lax about answering emails! Grades his online classes more severely than blended ones. TAKE HIM AT YOUR OWN RISK!

Dr. Leslie is very helpful with in class and blended class questions. He uses the books alot and he lets you know if we will have a quiz but we will also have unanouniced quizes as well they range from essay, matching, or map quizes something like what you would see on his exams. He is also helpful when you have a question about your papers

Advised me to take a class I didnt need and I didnt find out until after I took it. Had a passing grade until he gave me an F on a 5 page essay final, and an F (10 out of 100) on my 15 pg. essay that was said to be just not long enough and unrelated to the content when I use his instruction for a template.

Doesn't offer any assistance but grades harshly. Course syllabus is poorly organized and causes unnecessary confusion when preparing for essays. Offers little to no feedback needed for corrections on future assignments. Avoid at all costs!

Did not even use a textbook but rather a novel type book. Study guide was useless minus the essay topics. Tests were extremely difficult, hardest I have had in college. Questions about authors from 20th Century Europe with basically zero study guide. One question on the exam had 2 sentences about the book and author TOTAL. Don't take this feller.

Had Dr. Leslie for Nazi Germany class. Great instructor and very interesting. His lectures are a story. Tests were 2 essays so plan to write. Learned a great deal and would highly recommend Dr. Leslie. This class was not an easy A.

Dr. Leslie is a great professor. He really knows what he is talking about. However, DON'T take his class if you just want an easy A or have little interest in history. He will lecture the whole time and never reviews for a test. I've really enjoyed his 3 classes I've taken and have learned a lot.

He is no help at all, never reviews, never offers help or answers any questions. Do not take him unless you want to teach yourself a insane amount of history. He picks the most obscure points to test on and seems like he wants you to fail. Over half the class dropped and I'm sure all of us that stayed did not pass.The fake British accent has to go!
