Do not take Moyers for an online class. I've taken more than one and the syllabus is outdated, he uses antiquated Voice Boards instead of discussion boards, and does not answer emails. Grades are put in very, very, very slowly. For his PH 300 class, it is taught using a book he wrote, and his writing is unclear, at best. I do NOT recommend.

Dr. Moyers is one of the most respected. most intellectual professors I have ever had the pleasure of taking a course from. He challenges his students to look at all aspects of religion. Test are manageable as long as you apply yourself. Consider yourself fortunate should you participate in one his courses, you will be enlightened and blessed.

Dr. Moyers is an awesome professor. He welcomes debate in his classes and is one of the most unbiased professors in his expertise that I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. He's very organized, tests aren't easy but if you come to class you should have no problems!

This class was a challenge in that the assignment schedule was inaccurate,the use of a voice board instead of a standard discussion board was ridiculous,test were hard, syllabus was two years old,course notes were also outdated. The required paper forces you to go to 2 churches outside your faith which was a terrible experience. NOT RECOMMENDED

I have had Dr. Moyers for 3 classes. While his classes are not easy, they are fair and manageable as long as you are willing to put forth effort. He knows the material extremely well and is super helpful!! He is organized, states information clearly, and lets you exactly what is expected at the beginning of the semester. Absolutely my favorite!!

Had for Sociology of Religion and Moral Values. He is a great professor. He provides you with several notes. He will go over test material with you prior to test. He gives you the study guide and your test comes from that. It isn't easy, there is a lot of material and he's serious about it. But you can make an A. Must study and do papers.
