Comment:

Yeah, SHU's art department is lacking. So it's not Mimi's fault that she can't teach a 'real' sculpture class. Also, she provides almost all of the supplies for the class. I spent at most $15 on supplies. She's eccentric at times but easy to talk to and she helps with projects a lot. The projects aren't great. But she's a good teacher.

What everybody else is saying is true. There is no clay, ceramic, papier mache or anything like that used in this class. It's cardboard and wire and other stuff that you need to go buy yourself. It's not fun, it's not even an easy A. there is a paper that she grades way too seriously. my advise...take a drawing class.

Very weird professor, and extremely rude. You don't actually sculpt much of anything in the class, most things are made of tinfoil, cardboard, or toothpicks. You learn nothing relevant to the art. She is very rude and rigid. Takes herself way too seriously.

This professor is pretty much useless, you will spend a ton of money on supplies that you don't use. If you know anything about art, then this class is very frustrating because you will probably know more than her, as she is an art history professor who does sculpture as a hobby.

if you were hoping for a sculpture class, dont take this, unless you wanna make cardboard houses. shes very eccentric, wouldnt be surprised if she eats an 1/8 of shrooms before every class, kinda funny, but verrrry weird
