she gives reviews out that is similar on what going be on the test. prepared to study also there is extra credit challenging question by the end of the test and couple extra credit to make up for it and couple retake test and correction. couple test will be outside take home most of the work is going be online. she marks points if not her way to do

I really like how she provides notes and her homework is worth 250 points which helps you a lot and test were worth less. She very good at math. I'm very happy I had math with her because she a great teacher. She my favorite that now I'm taking her again for math 120 for spring. For math 120 her homework is worth 235 points and her test 100.

You will pay for extra things for this class that others in the same class wont, ie her class notes (bookstore only) and the homework is exclusively via a pay to use program, FYI. She's very knowledgeable, but old-school. Will encourage you to use the math center/internet for more help, but if you don't do the problem HER WAY, you wont get points.

Comment:

Professor Pack is very thorough in explaining the steps and pairing homework accordingly. There is a lot of homework, but it helps for someone that isn't strong in math and needs to earn the points. Ms Pack is very available, and her handouts are really good and helpful. If you are a late in life learner with Math issues, she can help.

Comment:

I'm not terrible at math but I don't really enjoy it, either. Prof. Pack breaks down the material for her students and her explanations are clear, she uses real world examples to drive home abstract concepts. She also hands out tons of extra credit and homework is graded ! So, if you have major test anxiety like I do, she's a great choice!

Prof Pack is an amazing math teacher, she explains things and presents the material very well. She's super approachable and she even tells you that all the time, so ask for help if you need it because this can be a difficult class... but Ms. Pack's study guides are spot on of what to expect for the exam.

Ms. Pack is amazing! She shows EVERY little step. She gives reviews guides and actually goes over them. She emails you back right away. She does math super quickly making it difficult to keep up, but will explain if you ask. Unless you are in honors, there will be 15 E.C. Pts on every test. Shes TOUGH but fair. She wants to help you succeed. 4.8/5

Great at explaining, very specific on expectations, tests are exactly like homework and class work. Homework can be heavy at times but she is such a great explainer.

Mrs. Pack is one of the worst teachers I have ever had. She is very intimidating and makes you feel stupid if you ask a question she doesn't like. She rushes through material and talks very fast, so it is hard to keep up. She marks off points on test for wrong work even if you get the right answer. Do not take her class if you struggle with math.

Ms. Pack is one of the best math teacher I have every had! She is very lecture heavy, so if that doesn't work for you, don't take this class. Take good notes, and take time to do HW in MyMathLab and you'll do just fine. Ms. Pack gives great examples and you can really tell she loves math! Last test is over everything, but you get a cheat sheet!

Ms. Pack is absolutely the best math teacher I could have ever asked for! She explains concepts so clearly and helps people like me who have struggled with math and who haven't taken a math course in a few years understand better than we had ever understood before! And she is ALWAYS there to help you with any question at all! She is so nice, too!!

All she does is drone on and on. She'll take the whole lecture to only show like two example problems, and all this stupid math theory that we don't need to know. So we end up having to learn everything on my math lab! And those problems never match up with her exams! Worst math teacher I've ever had!!!

Professor Pack was the most amazing math teacher I have ever had. I was never good at math and she made it very understandable. She is very nice and will help you and answer your question over and over until you understand. Calculus isn't quite the easiest class, but she made it enjoyable and also prepared me with the ability to pass.

Dr. Pack actually changed my mind to 360 degree. Before I took her class I was undecided what to major in, but the moment I enter her class, I kind of narrow it down and know what to major in. She actually very helpful and nice when you get to know her. She will be standing beside you and help you if struggle with math. I highly recommend her. :)

She's probably the most complicated teacher in the whole college. First of all she doesn't even talk to her students she stares at the wall or whiteboard and when she is "talking" to us she makes us feel like we're idiots. Her tests are absolutely nothing like her lectures. And she doesn't even do enough examples to understand anything.

Ms. Pack is not known as a nice or evening caring teacher, However I would agree but Ms. Pack has a heart of Gold. We went rounds, I went to the Dean 3x on her, even tried to drop out of her class, she told me in my face, I would not give up.I hate Math & thought I hated Ms Pack,but I stayed and we worked together and I passed she is a math machine

Comment:

A lot of people say "why do we need math? Or math is not important" Miriam actually makes me love math and makes me think it's very significant in life. Having her as a math professor is amazing thing to do because she doesn't just show how to solve the math problem, but She actually helps you understand the benefit of each problem she does.

Changes deadlines for assignments on a whim. Checking MyMathLab every other day fail, checking it 2 - 3 times per day because she changes the HW deadline due date pass. The most frustrating part of her class is the random HW assignment dates. Rude and snarky would best describe her demeanor. She most likely means well, but comes across harsh.

Amazing lecture. Study for your tests and do your homework, then you will pass. I recommend Miriam and would take her again as many times as I could if given the opportunity.
