Great professor for finance. I highly recommend taking his class! The exams are open book/notes. But you need to master to material if you want an A. Although attendance is optional, it's important you attend because his examples resembles the exam questions. The first exam is easy, second and third are moderately hard.

He is ok from my perspective. Allows you to use any notes for exams, but the exams I found are VERY VERY difficult. Your grade is made up of 60% exams, 30% hw, 10% project. Does not curve or offer extra credit. Choose wisely your options for this class.

Don't skip if you want an A. The problems he works through in class, are CRUCIAL for the exams. Exams are open book/note. Bring in-class problems and homework problems from mind tap and you will be fine. 3 exams. 1 group project. Homework due before each exam. Disregard the powerpoint slides. His lectures are boring, so do the homework in class.

This class has three exams with around 15-25 questions on them, all open-book and open-note. There is also a simple group project and online hw. This class is relatively easy if you do the homework he assigns in class because the exam questions are very similar. Attendance not required. The only tough part about this class was the mindtap homework.

I realized I would've done better on my first two exams if I used notes from the lectures, in-class exercises, AND homework problems. I'm not sure how other students got by by just using the lecture notes, but I don't think that's enough to rely on for the exam. Thank goodness that exams are open note/book!

Dr. Le is very funny. He makes lots of jokes in class and keeps it entertaining. He will tell you first day of class attendance is not mandatory and exams are open note/open book. Highly recommend to do the in-class HW assignments to pass the exams as they are very similar to exam questions. Don't need the book but need access code to do online HW.

This guy was hilarious, he made this boring class a lot of fun using his funny humor. The class has four exams and they are both super easy, to be honest I did not even try, the exams are exactly like the book and the examples in class are not the same on the exam so just know what the book is teaching you to get a good grade

You have weekly online hw that's all due before each exam. few exams all non cumulative and group project. Prof allows open note exams so it's very fair but concept is pretty hard and dry. Never paid attention in lectures and just read the book/did the mindtap hw and got a B. He's the best prof to pass FIN despite how hard/dry the subject is!

Show up to class, take good notes, buy a financial calculator, and it's an easy A. All 3 tests are open book/open note. There's online homework and a simple group project however his tests are based more off of his in class lectures. Definitely recommend taking him.

He is one of the most entertaining professors. His tests are open book open note. The hardest part of this class is getting the homework done on time. As long as you do the homework, you should be solid for all his tests. Attendance isn't mandatory but if you want an A I would recommend going and taking notes. He is an easy A.

Dr Le does not waste time in his class! He covers the material in a mostly interesting way, injecting humor when he can. You will stay for the entire class period. Open book and open note tests - because what job will tell you that you can't look stuff up if you don't know it. Real world information. I highly recommend this instructor.

This is not an easy class since the material is complex; however, the professor does a great job of explaining all of the concepts and takes extra care in explaining the difficult ones. I recommend attending lectures as it will reduce the amount of reading and studying you have to do to earn a decent grade.

I personally do not recommend him to anyone. His lecture is hard to understand. I am honest, i did not come to class at all. oh, 6 days in 18 weeks session, 1 day of class, 3 days of test, and 1 day i decided not to attendance anymore. you better ask your classmate instead of him, or else he will tell you to do so. "go ask your group mate!"

I took professor Le during the summer and I really enjoy it. I liked the way he teaches because it made it more clear and simple to understand all the concepts. He does not use the book but it is helpful to have it to practice for the tests. Tests are open book, open notes and pretty straight forward, not tricky at all. Take him!

Professor Le is hilarious. His lectures were entertaining & informative. He has a way of simplifying difficult concepts. The group project and tests were easy. Mindtap homework was somewhat frustrating but only because of the conceptual questions, none of which are on the open book/note tests. You could get by on just his notes if necessary.

I learned a lot in Fin 650 (Investments) such as portfolio management, stocks, bonds, mutual funds, ETFs and options trading. With combination of lectures, cases and construction of stock portfolios, I have learned more on valuation and fundamental analysis, which should help me with my CFA exams. After learning option trading in this class I have

Seminar in Investments. Thought it would teach me real life examples about investing. Instead it was insanely old problems (from the 80's). He spent the first half of classes on bonds, and then the 2nd on options. But not relevant to any of our lives. Nobody is going to buy a bond directly, nor keep an option until maturity. Such a shame
