Comment:

He clearly respects all his students and wants them to succeed. He explains concepts, plot, and grammar clearly, and he provides great feedback on essays. You have to show up for his classes and he loves class participation, so do the readings! He chose works that, when explained, were very inspiring and I often felt very moved at the end of class!

Comment:

Dr.Q is such a great professor. Very knowledgeable and passionate about what he teaches. He challenges you to become a better reader, writer, and overall student. This course in particular was dry (Canadian Lit) but he made it very interesting.

Very dry, he's a old school professor where he is more focused on grammar, and format than he is about what is being discussed and presented. He would not give suggestions as to how to improve for next time, and would play favourites with who would participate in class discussions. Would definitely not recommend.

Great prof! He really knows his stuff and is very helpful when you need it. His classes are very interesting but you will never get higher then a C+ on his essays. He will help you on them if you need it but it won't do any good. Don't take if you need to get your GPA up. Great class if you like a challenge!

WORST PROF EVER. Plays favorites, classes are very boring and useless but if you do not go, he will hate you. This man will not help you unless he likes you and will not like you unless you suck up. Lectures are virtually useless in regards to the papers and final. DO NOT TAKE HIS CLASSES UNLESS YOU HAVE NO OTHER CHOICE. I HATE YOU QUERENGESSER!

I never received less than an 85 on an essay prior to this class. He is a VERY hard marker. I didn't receive higher than an B+, and I'm a very well read student. If grammar isn't your strong suit, be prepared to fail. He lives, eats, and breathes grammar. He is a very learned individual though. You will learn a lot, but your mark won't be high.

Well grammer is his everything. He expects you to know your grammer like the back of your hand. When it comes to essays, you can be another English teacher and still only get a C (at best..). His classes go by sooo slow tho, so bring something else to do!!

Great prof!! He was so helpful. I learned more in one of his classes than in three years of high school. His loves his subject and is very entertaining. If you can get into one of his classes do it. Show up for class, do your reading, asked questions and you will do well. Best prof I've had!

Hard professor but very fair. Know your stuff, and be able to argue your points and you will do fine. Make sure you read everything you can, he likes well-read students. Be prepared to work though.
