He can be extremely rude at times, and is by far the toughest grader at UWP. If you're an English major then he might be the one you want to take, but for any non english majors I would suggest not taking him.

Comment:

Dr. Hadorn is an exceptional professor and person. His lectures are engaging and very helpful, so make sure you go to class. Not a professor who is going to give you an easy A. He'll make you work for it, but you'll be better off in doing so. The class consisted of two exams in essay format, and two papers, one of which required extensive research.

I've taken Hadorn for 3 other classes besides Modern American Drama and I must say he is one of the best instructors on this campus. I've learned things from him that you can't get anywhere else. Very lively and animated in class. He can also take a really boring topic, such as tech writing, and still make it mildly interesting. Take him.

I took multiple classes with Hadorn. Tech Writing, Mythology, Shakespeare and English Drama. He is very clear but a hard grader, typically with student interest in mind; he wants to make you a better student. One of the best Eng professor at P-ville. I recommend him if you are willing to learn, work hard and become a better student. Ask for help.

Shakespeare consisted of reading five plays of basically the class's choice, two tests and one project. Hadorn keeps the material interesting and is a lot of fun. He makes people volunteer for reading lines in class, but it is fun. He really knows Shakespeare and is very helpful.

A True Professional. Has high standards for assignments, but will walk you through how to do it. Very entertaining and passionate about his work. Very helpful during office hours. Never seen a professor able to get a class that involved in discussion before. Keeps class funny. Learned ALOT from Dr. Hadorn, one of the best professors I've ever had.

Comment:

Very practical class for geting ready for the workplace. One larger project and other smaller assignments. Is very animated and keeps us entertained. Will let you out early if he feels he's covered all he wants for the day. But Doesnt give exact instructions for some assignments however..leaving it up to you to decide/guess what he is looking for.
