dr hogan is probably one of the hardest profs i have taken at fsu. he doesnt give you an actual syllabus to tell you when assignments are due; he just randomly assigns papers when he feels like it, and only gives you about a week to do them... not fair at all. i worked my butt off to get a good grade in his class.. apparently i was only B+ worthly

Probably the worst class I have ever taken. His classes are long and boring, he doesn't make eye contact, he is boring and monotone, he is very last minute, takes a long time to grade, and he is a tough grader. I would never take this class again with him!

Comment:

Dr hogan is a good proffesor . This class was hard because it's not really structured. He is a though grader ,however if you go to class and participate you should be fine. He is funny and tries to make the class interesting . Expect 2 or 3 reading out of the book and 2-4 pages write up.

He's British! Which for me, it's easy to listen to his lectures. He doesn't use scan sheet exams, uses Blackboard discussions, & his classes requires writing skills. My writing skills have increased due to his classes for the best. He is open to students & gives second chances especially to students he knows is active in the class & go to him

I took his interpersonal effectiveness class and it was so easy! You just write a few 1-2 page long essays and that's it. I feel like some students don't like the class because they don't know what it's really about, it's basically about social skills and how you come across to other people. You can't grade that on an exam just how you act in class

Extremely unprofessional. Doesn't inform the students about assignments until the very last minute. Set up a meeting about a "serious issue" with student and then didn't show up. Very unclear about assignments. No guidance whatsoever. Feel like I have learned absolutely nothing in his class.

Absolutely horrendous professor. DOES NOT explain course materials or concepts. Almost ridiculously rude to students. Does not care about students progress and uses some of the most ineffective group projects ever. DO NOT take this professor. Do anything you can do avoid him at all costs.

had him for general psychology never had a teacher to made psychology so dull before. 25% of his lectures are on the tests. His paper assignments are not clear at all. If you get a 3.5 or higher, hats off to you

Has a sarcastic attitude, very rude. He thinks he is a good teacher but almost the whole class failed the last test. He seems to know his information but does a terrible job of teaching it. He seems to be a snob and loves his accent. I thought Pysch would have been fun, but I literally hate it now!

He's very condescending, especially toward guys. For Psych in Action he ignored the book and had us start a research study in NOVEMBER. Action was supposed to teach us non-traditional ways to use Psych, and instead we did a typical research study that didn't get completed in time so it was all thrown away. WTF.

He's very personable, but I think he's one of those professors who is very intelligent but isn't very good at conveying knowledge to students. He has a tendency to lose assignments so document when and how you turned something in! The book we use is rubbish, and we all feel nothing he talks about in class is relevant to what we're leaning.

He was very unhelpful and unclear with class material. He repeatedly changed his mind with what we were doing and "forgot" some assignments we had to do until late in the semester, causing more work and hassle for us. Even when I persisted for extra help, he seemed reluctant to give any. Would NOT recommend taking him for any class!!!

I had him for Interpersonal Effectiveness. Worst class I have ever taken. He appears to be just on the outside, but will find a way to make your grade suffer. His tests are easy but he uses an entirely subjective method to grade you overall. For example, he grades you on posture and eye contact. Will never take him again. A real dissapointment.

He is a terrible teacher and always changed his attempts at lesson plans. He changed his mind about everything and was very repetitious. Impossible to please especially on projects.
