I took his online class, I usually am a grade A student and in his course I received a C-. He grades harshly and gives no feedback on his assignments. He made an assignment due on thanksgiving day. He was very unhelpful when I did reach out for feedback. He also was quite rude whenever I would email him. I would run away from this class if I knew.

Hardest class I've ever taken in undergrad. Even though his classes are hard, they prepare you if you want to go to law school. He only lectures and barely repeats himself. You have a test or quiz every other week and it's all short essays. Prepare to read a lot. If you're not required to take the class or want to go to law school- don't take him.

This was an online class so I don't know how he is in person, but he gave a lot of good feedback on our discussion board posts and had a lot of interesting things to say. There were no lectures so I don't know how he is at that.

He will randomly yell at you for no reason during class. The readings are extremely long and his exams are difficult. No one should be required to CON LAW, its a nightmare.

He is great. Funny and witty. I had him for freshman seminar, and it was well worth it. By far the best freshman seminar! Simply do the work, remain professional, and come to class... you should get an A. Amazing man... truly brilliant.

Good teacher, but doesn't put up with any BS. Pay attention to what he says and don't try to sound smart in front of him... you never will

I had Dr. Dynia as a professor for political thought and con law more than 30 years ago. The B+ I received in con law still stands out as my most memorable academic achievement. The more years that go by, the more I realize what an exceptional professor he was (and I'm sure still is). He is a serious man with an infectious sense of humor.

Dr. Dynia was my advisor when I was a polisci major some 20 years ago. We all dreaded the time when we had to take his classes since his reputation definitely preceeded him, and he lived up to his reputation. He was the toughest prof I had but the best. Went to Tulane Law after graduating and had the late prof Gelfand for conlaw. Dynia was better.

Courts/judges/politics: he doesn't stick to the book and he grades hard (92 is the highest), but he is good. Gives 4 exams that are essays, no hw, quizzes, or extra credit. He takes roll and moves through his lectures quickly, so go to class and bring ur laptop. He doesnt seem to like stupid questions. Go to office hrs if you're lost. He's hard but I really recommend him.

After my undergraduate work, I attended law school where I made law review. I'm absolutely convinced that I would never have excelled in law school had it not been for Dr. Dynia's Constitutional law class as an undergrad!

This class is very hard, but he's a great guy. you gotta keep up with the notes though, he expects really detailed essays on the exam. READ ALL BOOKS FOR THE QUIZES. it's one hell of a course. DO NOT TAKE IT UNLESS YOU'RE A POLI SCI MAJOR & A JUNIOR.

Dynia is one of a kind. Wears a liberal bias on his sleeve but it doesn't interfere with his ability to teach. Tests consist of two lengthy essays, which are constructed to through you off. Make sure and know abortion, gay rights, and free speech cases. If you prove that you are smart/funny it goes a long way.

Lecture course--some of the lectures are hard to follow, but Dynia clearly knows his case law. He is fairly liberal in his views, but I don't mind this. Exams are very difficult but fun. Lots and lots of reading for this class.

Of all the terrible teachers in the poli-sci department, Dynia is the worst. He hates his students and it seems like he hates teaching. He cancelled 6 classes last semester, which is equivalent to 2 weeks of school! He held us accountable for the material, though. He made me hate anything remotely related to political theory.

Everybody who takes Dynia's class presupposes he is such a jerk and that he doesn't care that you learn. Truth is the man is a genius and he doesn't have time for you to ask bulls**t questions when they're clearly in the textbook, which is most people tend to do. Just study the cases simply.

he has a low tolerance for bullsh*** and stupidity. If you don't have something really insightful to say, don't say it at all. And don't pepper your answer with "like" and "you know". He is too smart for that, and not at all understanding. In summary: don't be an idiot.

Con Law I. His lectures are long and tedious. His exams are okay andhis grading is not bad however, he uses very large words in his lectures and in order to pass his exams, i had to do extra research on court cases on the internet to better understand. Great man, but i dislike his technique.
