Worst teacher I have had at UK. Does not care about students at all, gives no assistance on studying for tests; and tests do not at all reflect what was talked about in class. Has no business teaching.

Unorthodox teaching style. Doesn't provide a lot of information on course; tests are announced about 2 weeks prior, no set schedule. Final project is vague. But class is enjoyable, though not very motivating, and he can be funny.

He's a little rough at times. Not your usual professor. The exams are not difficult and you'll get a good grade in the class for sure. Can't believe people complain about him canceling class... as if students never miss class. Show up... look over the slides... and you'll be fine. He's actually quite funny at times and sometimes he is boring

Was amazed at the bad comments. His test are fairly simple. He enjoy teaching and knows his material. Gets class involved by wanting feedback of material. If anything, it helped me understand the material better. Don't worry about the ratings... you'll probably take his other class like most do!

Pace of class is choppy at best. Cancels an entire week, arrives late several times. Gives exams over chapters in a book not touched upon in lectures at all. Claims to be teaching so he can spend time with his daughters... There has to be a better way for both students and himself for that to get accomplished!

Perry seems a little rough around the edges at first but its just to set the tone for the semester. After a few weeks it becomes clear that he doesnt build his class around a grading curve. He teaches to give you an understanding of the subject, not to make you earn a letter grade.

The worst professor I've encountered at UK. Tests are impossible, but he allows students to use notes, book, and/or classmates. He never tells you beforehand what resources you will have available for the test. Sometimes you can use your notes, sometimes you can use your friends. If you have to take a class with Perry don't stress most get an A.

Doesn't need to be teaching. Seems like UK just needed a professor for the class so they grabbed him off the street. Reads the notes to the class. Makes the test incredibily difficult,& none of the test material correlates w/the notes. Got an A on the 1st test & failed the 2nd! Completely unorganized & you might as well just throw away the syllabus

Perry will come off as an arrogant prick but he’s really not all that bad just don‘t take anything he says to heart. He’s stickin’ it to the man so you’ll probably get an A in the class due to his rebellion. His tests are really hard but he lets you use your notes or classmates. I missed 1 quiz and failed 2 others and still got an A no problem.

What a jerk. He thinks he is so cool and talks to students like we are 3rd graders. He makes the tests very difficult just to make people mad. I have a 3.8 and had to struggle to get a B in the class. He is a horrible teacher...beware!

I will have to agree to all the comments. Got an A in the class, but he was the worst teacher I have had in B&E. The material was not hard to understand, he was just horrible at teaching (if you can even call it that) It the class is required it is hard to avoid him since he is the only teacher, so GOOD LUCK, you will need it!!

You know he's a bad professor when you get an A in his class and you still hate him. He's very unreliable, doesn't stick to his syllabus, and very unorganized. He seems like one of those kids that got picked on when he was little so now he is making up for it by being very insulting, disrespectful, and hypocrytical with his students. Avoid him.

Well I would agree that Randy is a "mere reader of the powerpoint", however his 309 class is really easy if you show up to take a quiz here and there. I was really confused about the country project and I wish he would have just came out and told us how to do the stupid thing.

Perry is one of the worst I've encountered at UK. He thinks he is somekind of intelectual god when in fact he is mere reader of the powerpoint. His project is very unclear and therefore difficult. My sister had Perry before and also hated him.

I don't like Mr. Perry, nor does anyone else that I have talked to. He is a disciplinarian. He has no respect for the students, and is constantly raising his voice at everyone, insulting people, and using profanities. Total @$$!
