easy class. 80% weekly sctivities (one page paper), 20% course evaluation. most classes spent in groups for discussion. easy but not the most exciting or fun. Randy can spend an entire lecture talking about what leisure is - not fun.

Randy is a decent professor at best. I had him and I found that he was bolstering leisure and recreation and when asked a question he really does not answer it. His grading is based on how he feels at the moment. To learn something Leisure Sciences is not place to enhance your career or make $$$$$.

Randy is a great professor. I learned alot in his class but he has a different way of teaching. He gives you the topic, you complete the assignment and once its submitted you discuss it in class. Great learning experience !

I followed the course& attended classes &didn't feel like I had the chance to learn very much in depth about the subject. The assignment grading is inconsistent because as someone said, it has to do with how he feels at the time. At the end you find out that you really did have to come to class (participation) despite the waste of time it really is

No exams. No class outline. Group discussions. Very confusing expectations? What did I learn? He is not available for help- 1 hr before and after class on fridays. No phone number and slow email response. Easy grade but not clear on what he wants and his grading scale is a joke "based on how he feels"

you cannot find a class like this in university, lots of interactive work in big modern classrooms, no book, no tests, just daily insights on what you learned in class and a midterm and final assignment. He is very flexible and will accomodate his students, rewards his class with a picnic/frisbee day on last day of class. Highly recommended.
