The information in MGSC 346 is pretty boring overall but Ravi is a great professor that offers extra credit almost every day of class and the Tests and Quizzes are fairly easy. There is a group project and each assessment is done with a group after your individual assessment. Although he is boring, the information is necessary and easy to study.

Ravi is awesome! The material itself is very dull and tough, so lectures are boring but he gives lots of opportunities for extra credit so it's important to attend class. You work on quizzes and tests with your project group so make sure you a pick a good group! Overall, pretty boring class but I got out with a higher grade than I expected!

Make sure you pick good group members. Most of this course revolves around group work and group quizzes, so choose carefully. The material in this class is really dry...I don't think anyone paid attention in class. It's hard to prepare for his quizzes and exams so they are kinda hard, but he ends up helping your grade somehow. He's a nice guy.

The class was a nightmare, because I didn't like the subject and didn't really care all that much about grades that semester. But Kathuria was VERY supportive and helpful and really does everything he can to not only pass you, but help you end up with a somewhat decent grade! GREAT professor!

Comment:

Professor Kathuria is a great instructor. Very caring and helpful if you talk to him. Do the homework to get the extra credit to help you master the concepts because the exams are challenging even though you are allowed a cheat sheet. I got a lot of value out of the course, especially the group project. If you put in the effort you will do well.

Kathuria is a great professor but you truly have to put effort into the class. Do the homework for extra credit and as practice for the tests! He is a fair grader and he always makes himself available during his office hours if you need extra help. He makes his expectations clear at the beginning and it's obvious that he truly cares about students.

While I am satisifed w/ most of the profs at Chapman, Ravi is the exception. This class is a prime example as to why education needs reform. Kathuria is dull and boring, its obvious he doesnt enjoy teaching. I felt like my creativity was zapped after doing the irrelevant problems.Ravi doesnt care whter you pass or fail, not much support.

Low homework load. Need the book but only for a couple of HW problems. tests are easy and you get to use a notecard. Lectures and powerpoints are clear. The group project is a bit of a hassle but also not hard. Overall, easy class if you pay attention, but completely useless to most lines of work.

Class is soooooo boring and useless. Ravi is a nice guy, but if he asked you a question in class he never acts like you're right even if you are. Thank goodness for the notecard on the test. Def. have pay attention in this class to learn all stupid problems

I thought that he was a good teacher. You just need to make sure that you dont miss any classes. If you attend everyday you will do fine. Just make sure that you STUDY!! If you study you will get an A... I did!

I felt that at first he was a nice guy and good professor. He went over things well and the fact that you can use a notecard on tests was helpful. However after we did his evaluations he changed for the very worst. His grading became unfair and he gives out 2 different test versions which we felt wasn't fair. Be careful he IS NOT understanding!

He gives you exact outlines of what is going to be on the exams. Quizzes are short: 1/2 hour and then you get to leave. VERY UNDERSTANDING!!! Goes over everything until you get it. Don't be afraid to ask.

Dr. Ravi Kathuris is one of those professors who raises the bar at Chapman University. Other students complaint about him, that's because those students are slackers. Ravi is one of the most brilliant professors at Chapman University!!!
