The material is manageable but you need to study. Clicker questions are for points. He uses the graphs and case studies from his lectures on exams to be aware of those. Long lectures but he makes it fun.

Dr. Ferriere is a great professor! He gives a study guide and even goes over the questions that were commonly missed on the exams. That being said, DO NOT take if he is in the team with Chesson and Walsh. One great professor does not make up for 2 horrible ones!

Was the best out of the 3 rotating professors (Walsh and Chesson) I had for Ecol. Actually goes over exams and the most missed questions. Very willing to help! Actually did well on exams when he taught the class. His lectures can be boring, but if you go and do his quizzes you should do well. Would recommend Ferriere, but not the other two.

This isn't the easiest class, but if you do well on the quizzes and do the study guides then an A is doable. He's a really good professor and likes to spend time going over the most missed exam questions because he wants you to actually learn and understand the material. Honestly wish all professors at this school were like him.

I love this man. He is an awesome professor and you can totally tell he loves what he does. He wants you to succeed and is very knowledgeable. His exam questions can be difficult, but as long as you understand the concepts from his slides, then it should not be too bad. The textbook is not necessary for this class.

I think I'm in love with Ferriere, he's soooooooo sexy. Sometimes I couldn't pay attention because he's so dreamy. Also, he's a good professor. Only one in this section that actually made sense and adequately prepared us for tests. I would totally take him again. However, the other professors (Walsh & Chesson) are not so good. ESPECIALLY CHESSON!!!

A relief after listening to Schaffer studder through his lectures. Regis Ferriere has very interesting lectures about conceptual biology, not memorizing stupid assed cladograms. Very difficult exam, wording a bit unclear sometimes. He doesn't know much else about bio than animal behavior...
