Worst professor I've ever had! He reads off of another professors power points and does not explain anything. He leaves half-way through the lab period and expects you to finish. He never posts any grades and rarely hands back any papers. His tests are nearly impossible and he does not believe in extra credit.

Schwartz gets a REALLY bad reputation but he's not too bad. The slides are easy enough to understand and he hardly reads the lab reports when he grades them. There are 3 homework assignments over the semester. They each took me over 12 hours to complete, but they're excellent prep for the tests.

Dr. Schwartz claims to love teaching. Our first class was his birthday, and he made it out to sound like he loves doing it. After several classes, I can honestly say that he lied. I don't believe he loves teaching, and I don't believe he actually cares much for his students. Lectures are half-assed using powerpoint slides which he whisks through

Honestly by now i'm going to break it up to all of you who thinks that his class is difficult. I took his course before and if you think his class is difficult. Don't even attempt trying to get into medical school, or any pre-health related field, you're trying to do. I am currently a Uf Student and the classes over here makes his class a joke.

I enjoyed this class a lot. Dr. Schwartz is a great guy and his classes are very laid back. He doesn't take attendance but I wouldn't recommend skipping class. If you study and do the homework problems you shouldn't have too much trouble. I would recommend taking him.

Prof. Schwartz was terrible. I was definitely surprised at how he was compared to how well he is rated. Never writes problems on the board and copies and pastes his lectures. The first class I have every gotten a D in. Would not recommend i worked my butt off in this class studying 40 hours before each test. DO NOT recommend

The first class I am getting a C in. His lectures can be outdated bc he pulls them from Google and his explanations aren't the best. He expects you to ask questions in his office, but he can make you feel stupid for asking at all. Tests are extremely difficult and the textbook is a must for homework/studying. I recommend joining a study group.

Dr Schwartz is a fair grader, his lectures contain the material you need to know and he also gives extra material at the end of a semester for anyone going on to further chemistry. Attend class, do the homeworks, ask questions and you'll do fine. He doesn't take attendance but that doesn't mean he doesn't notice if you're there.

He's occasionally incorrect when explaining things. The tests are difficult but fair. Use the book religiously and you should be fine. Keep up with your grade because he neglected to include a few of my labs.

Recommend not taking this instructor. Test material can have unpredictable elements not covered in lecture. Class lessons come directly from book examples but some test material requires significantly higher level of understanding of math/chem not covered in lecture. Uses ACS Exam (covers chem 1 & 2)as class final; could count as 50% of your grade.

His lectures make sense. His tests come from notes and book. He is a nice guy. All the other comments are not true. I got a B. First B in any science class. I normally get Cs in my science classes. You just need to do your part to pass the class. It pulled up my Pharmacy GPA. Overall a good teacher.

Not a bad Chemistry prof. He is def better than most of the adjuncts the school hires for Chem. His lectures are informative, but dry. His knowledge of the subject is very high and if you ask him a good question, you will get a good answer most of the time. Don't buy the book, you will never use it anyway. Everything comes from his notes.

His lectures are decent, informative and easy to follow IF you pay attention. Tests were long and fairly challenging, but didn't have many surprises. He doesn't go the extra mile and sometimes responds with impatience to poorly-articulated questions, but he's not as nasty, arrogant or difficult as some SFC chemistry professors; you could do worse.

Horrible teacher. He doesn't explain things thoroughly and makes you feel like you are an idiot if you don't know everything he does. Tests are unpredictable pulls questions off of labs and turns the labs in the day after the test is already taken. Has a horrible sense of humor and do not recommend AT ALL! Take anyone but him and Sweiter!

Professor Schwartz is very difficult. I thought INTRO TO CHEM would actually be an introduction into chemistry for those of us who have never had chemistry before. Schwartz goes wayyyy too far into detail and doesn't relate what hes teaching to what is ever on his exams. Not to mention, he has NO exam reviews and doesn't go into any detail before h

YOU WILL NOT PASS THIS CLASS JUST BY GOING TO CLASS! Take the class as an additive to the book, honestly the dude must have like tenure or something and really doesnt give a ****, make sure you read the book, use all the rescources and go to class every time. Teacher makes it feel like if you dont understand him you are retarded

Unsatisfactory teacher! Unorganized and not thorough. Unclear, goes into too much detail on pre chem and not enough information for Chem 1 (in a Chem 1 class) Do not take him if you're a science esp. Chemistry major. You will not learn what you need to know unless you read the book. He does not go into detail AT ALL for Chemistry 1. REPEAT No Good!
