I loved Professor V! She is amazing and truly knows what she is teaching about. There were discussions due every week, 4 tests, and 3 papers, but if you just manage your time right this class is a super easy A. She also gives out a bunch of extra credit, I ended the year with 10 points extra credit and never did a rewrite of a project.

Prof Vandermast was my teacher over 15 years ago. I decided to come back and write a review because she was one of the most influential profs I had in my 7 years in college. Take her guidance and feedback seriously because she knows how to set you up for success. I own a digital media company and I STILL think about things I learned from her.

Professor Vandermast organizes the material so that it is very easy to follow. I had taken courses with her before and was happy for the chance to learn more from her. She puts all her teaching experience and personal knowledge into ensuring that students get the best opportunity for success. I have no regrets taking courses with this professor.

I enjoyed taking this course. It was online but it felt like I was in the classroom, since I was always able to reach my professor, and get answers to all my questions. The projects are fun. Professor Vandermast finds your weak areas and helps you to build on them. You know you have gained knowledge before the course even ends. Easy ‘A’!

Great Course! Great Professor! Professor Vandermast’s main concern is student success. It is quite easy to recover from a couple of low assignment grades with the rewrites on projects, and extra credit opportunities. Her presentations on each unit are quite effective. She is very accessible and returns emails even on the weekend. Awesome teacher!

Professor Vandermast lives out of state, but she makes herself very accessible. She requires 3 essays, and expects you to be able to write at a scholarly level. Her prompts are difficult to work with, but that's to encourage critical thinking - which is necessary if you are in college. Follow directions and you'll do well.

As already stated by another student: she has a condescending tone in her comments on your essays that you will be required to write. She grades harshly. Uugh! Take someone else. This lady excepts one to write essays that are so involved. Seriously, you better LOVE humanities and the study of it before you sign up with this woman. Summer plz end.

I felt as though Professor Vandermast didn't give enough time for tests. They are multiple choice & complete sentence answers & it's 1hr. My suggestion is to type fast and answer the questions worth more points first. Projects were more fun as she gives different ways to do your project (research, flyer, letter etc.).

GREAT TEACHER! She is super good about returning e-mails ( online class) and is always willing to help you. 3 exams, which are easy and hardly affect your grade. 3 projects and lots of time to finish them (3-5 weeks),I completed each one within one week. Not hard to get an A, if you do the work. Extra credit opportunities too! TAKE HER CLASS!

Professor's tone is condescending, she is not helpful. Her requirements are so complex that she takes a whole week to tell her students how to navigate the course. Takes pride in being "hard," but the reason her course is hard is that she's not a good teacher or a good communicator. Can't grade papers because she's harvesting tomatoes? Seriously?

This teacher grades so hard. She thinks she's teaching english composition and hates how easy other teachers grade. I took her online and it was unpleasant. The study guides didn't help me. Questions on tests were tricky & vague, multiple possible answers always available and deductions always made. She didn't seem friendly. Didn't seem passionate.

She's nice but definitely not an easy A. You will work hard if you want to pass with a decent grade. There are required projects that she grades harshly on, but she does let you rewrite them if needed. She also makes herself available anytime you need help. I liked her but of course I stayed on top of everything! She gets 4 stars out of 5 from me!

Took her for Art History online. Her class is really challenging its a lot of book work and outside research plus you have to do over 20 discussion postings a week. The midterm and final are really hard and have to be done at the testing center. The teacher is nice but she expects a lot from her students.

I thought she was great. A ton of reading though, but gave study sheet of exactly what would be on tests which were open note/book. Midterm & final closed notes. I had enough points that all I had to do was show up for the final and I got an A. Lot of work but just do it and you can get an A. Really enjoyed the papers too. Take her.

Seems really hard when you start but shes great. The syllabus is very intimitating. She makes it very easy and she is an amazing teacher. Study guides, practice tests, & shes always there to help. There is a lot of work but she makes it seem like there's not. If you don't want to do much work don't take her but she is great. I HIGHLY recommend her.

Lots and Lots of Busy Work! There is something due 3 times a week. Easy A if you keep up with it all. The online tests from home are easy if you prepared with your study guides. The mid-term was difficult. Grading on Essays seem pretty unfair but lots of chances for extra credit.
