Dr. Arnold is THE man. Period. Excellent lecturer, fair grader and surprisingly funny in a smart-ass deadpan humor kind of way. The only thing you need to do if you want to get an A in his class is take notes during his lecture. His tests have no curve-balls and are straight from his lectures & study guides. You do not need a textbook.

You honestly cant go wrong with any of Dr. Arnolds classes. He is by far one of the best professors in the Econ department. Money, Banking, and the Economy has been my favorite class I have taken with him yet. The online lectures were exactly the same as if you were to take him in person. I bought the book and never used it. Grade is 100% exams.

Graded almost solely on the exams but there are pop quizzes (true or false) that appear fairly frequently and make up 10% of your grade or so. Prepare well for the tests and take good notes in order to do well. He is very thorough and expects you to be fairly thorough as well with your answers. Good lecturer. Not many tricky questions etc.

Was the hardest class I have taken in terms of material this semester. Just be prepared to go through the material quickly. Hard for me to keep up with some of the notes, because he moved so fast. Even though I thought it was a little challenging, Dr. Arnold is one of the best teachers out there! He is extremely fair. Understand how to do the WQs.

Dr. Arnold is one of my most favorite professors at CSUSM. If you have to opportunity to take any class with him, you are lucky. He is such a nice and intelligent man. You will learn a lot. Not the easiest class in terms of material, but he prepares for success. If you dont come to class, you will NOT pass. Definitely going to be taking again.

He's intimidating but nice deep down inside. He will literally provide you w/ everything you need to know for the quizzes & exams during his lectures, so you NEED to attend class. He posts weekly questions so you can stay on top of material & succeed. He wants things answered exactly as he taught them. Weekly Quizzes, 3 Exams & a Cumulative Final

Guys: in case you arent sure about your major: Economics its hard! Its not the Professor or whatever its the course, its hard! Professor Arnold tries to do his job although monotonous. A good teacher is the one where you put the effort and you see the retribution of your work in your grade. But I studied a large amount of time and had B.

Dr. Arnold is the best! Grade is 10% pop quizzes, 3 tests at 20% and final is 30%. Grading criteria is very clear and as long as you study hard you will do well. His lectures are really amazing, and inspired me to become way more interested in economics. Book use is not 100% mandatory, but would recommend for econ lovers.

At first I thought this class would be super hard because the first test I thought I was screwed, luckily I got a B- on it. Afterwards I found the secret to getting an A on every test, watch his videos rather than reading the book. His lectures are amazing and super clear. Be sure to review the videos before taking the test and do the practice test

I took his ECON 202 class during fall semester online, It was really clear and easy class, it was online, with no-graded homeworks, 3 test multiple 50 question and 1 final. roger arnold is best for econ classes, he is really helpful , right on the time always, gives motions to students. just get ready for study to your notes before each exam.......

Easiest class ever. Took this during my hardest semester yet and passed with an A. I would study the day of the test and pulled high As on all of them. Just watch the lectures you will be fine because he is super clear. weekly multiple choice quiz, no hw, 3 tests, final. He added 5% onto our final grade and added points onto every test. I got 102%

He is a great teacher. Has a dry sense of humor, and has a teaching style similar to Basu's lectures. Just don't get on his bad side and it is smooth sailing. He will help you out during his office hours, so dont be afraid to go there. side note: he often gives out long drawn out sighs likes hes over it. i think its hilarious when he does that.

If you need a low maintenance class, this is it. No homework just weekly 10 point quizzes where you can click 'check my work' and it'll tell you if its wrong. Professor Arnold is super clear with his lectures and if you keep up with them and study for the tests (which are kinda difficult) you will be perfectly fine and capable of getting an A

4 tests and a final, first test and final are the hardest, 3 in the middle were easy. We didn't use a book so attendance was basically mandatory. Take good notes, if you can try and copy his word for word, you won't get lost while re-reading them later on. Got a C+ only because I bombed the first test, a B should be easy to earn at the minimum.
