He is miserable! Pointless Discussion based class, Offers no flexibility, changes the syllabus without warning, everyone but him is wrong even when he is asking your opinion. There are no tests of midterms but final is a 15 page paper about a discussion during semester. If you do not want to go crazy all semester do not take any of his classes!

Most difficult course I've ever taken. No leniency, no extra credit, no make ups. He failed me in my mid term because my pen ran out of ink and he wouldn't give me another pen. So I was forced to hand in an incomplete paper. Absolutely no tardiness, if you're 10 seconds late you are kept from attending. You must wait for the break to reenter

Easily the worst class I've ever taken. Unhelpful, unclear, and if you have a different opinion than he does you might as well drop the class. I'm 3 weeks in and have learned to just agree with him rather than risk the grade. Don't take if possible.

His whole class is a "discussion" but it has to end up in his favor even if 99% of the people in the room disagree...He makes assignments and papers sound interesting and personal at first then quickly beats you down with standards and new rules..He can use phone but not you

Likes to hear himself talk: verbose. Dare suggest an alternate answer to his and he will argue until you concede, or talks in circles until "your solution" is something he "led" you to reach. Fails to respond to emails/phone calls in a timely manner (most of mine went unanswered until I knocked on his office door!) Tenure has it's benefits.

Best prof that I have had at eastern. Take him if you want to be sucessful in the business world. People say hes scary and mean but hes just getting you ready for a job. Study for an hour or two before each class and your fine. Take the one at night. Hes retiring after the summer so take him while you can.

Professor Lowy is the best professor I have ever had. I have never learned this much in any other class. Yes he is stricter than most teachers, but he prepares his students for the real world and teaches them to think outside the box. I highly recommend taking Lowy if you have the opportunity because you will learn a lot.

Very good teacher. You will learn more in this class than all of your other classes combined. You will have to earn your grade but it is well worth it. This class is set up similar to the real business world. Anyone who complains about him should not be in the business world, and are simply lazy.

Very tough teacher, but makes you learn and apply material. People complain about him because they haven't been properly prepared by other teachers. He makes you learn AND apply in a business like manner. You work your butt off but you have to appreciate it because hes preparing you for the real world.

He gets a kick out of making your life miserable. He made my last semester in college extremely stressful and upsetting. His way of teaching may seem effective to him, but it is not. You cant scare your students into learning.I don't respect this man and if I had known a while back that I would have to take this class, I would of changed my major.

Hardest professor in the world. Ubelievably strict with policy. DO NOT take him for granted or you will definitely FAIL. Always listen to what he says and no matter what you believe, he is always right. Don't even try to argue your viewpoints, its worthless. Although I almost died of a heart attack like 8 times, I probably learned the most from him

Eastern's business program gave him the capstone class (or he gave it to himself?). This fact is a shame, either way, because it was absolutely the most miserable class I ever attended. Bullying is NOT an effective teaching method, but I'm sure he'd laugh at you if you told him that.

Terrible teacher. Enjoys booting students out of class for being late, not knowing an answer, etc. Tries to intimidate, is unclear on due dates and in general would rather promote himself than effectively teach. I am a senior with a 3.3 gpa, and he is the worst "teacher" I've had to date. Do yourself a favor and avoid him.
