Dr. Cornish is my advisor. He is an amazing professor who really loves History. His classes consist of essays and he does want students to hold discussions in class and do class readings, but he is an awesome professor and has a sense of humor. I would suggest taking him at least once before you graduate.

Cornish is sometimes hard to understand and he is very soft spoken. You have to really pay attention to hear him. Also his notes are all over the place, you must read the book in order to understand the material.

Dr.Cornish is one of the coolest guys I have met going to Winthrop. He really knows what he is talking about. His lectures can be boring because he goes off topic sometimes, but he is still a great professor with a great sense of humor. Attendance is not mandatory, but you need to listen in class to his lectures.

Study the notes (assuming you take good notes) and read the chapters, and you should be fine in this class. Dr. Cornish makes the information interesting anyway, he really has a passion to teach this information, he's one of the best teachers here at Winthrop I think. Have fun!

Professor Cornish is great. I hate history but he makes it interesting. He makes jokes the entire class and he is really funny. His tests are really easy, he gives you the essay questions at least a week in advance for each test and you can prepare for two essays or just one & do the Multiple Choice which is always super easy. Easy A if you prepare

He takes roll randomly, and talks through the whole lecture. Your are supposed to read the chapters and take good notes, but that isnt enough. Exams have 20 multiple choice questions with 60pt inclass essays, too much material covered for one exam
