This professor really taught the topics of class very well, if you show up for attendance, take good notes of the lectures, then you'll do fine on the tests. Very fair grader and gives some extra credit opportunities to really boost your grade.

unfortunately professor emmachild has retired, but she was THE most inspirational professor I have ever gotten the honor of taking. she is an amazing person and professor and I took her for every semester and was lucky enough to have gotten a seat in her gender and the law class which aided me in my decision to become an attorney. great woman.

The only thing you will like about her is her attendance policy but it does not make up for her insanely difficult tests and awful teaching methods. AVOID TAKING HER CLASS. If you do have too for what ever reason make sure you read before class because she will make you feel stupid quicker than you might think.

Brilliant professor with interesting lectures. Class revolves around her lectures, but they are not to miss. She says she's retiring soon, so I'd take her as soon as possible. Tests are short answer and not too difficult. There is so much extra credit that if you try you will earn an A in this class.

Spends the first two days saying you don't ever discuss if the myth stories are true in class. The rest of the semester lectures spend ample time pointing out the flaws in logic of all the religious stories she chose. Im not religious but you figure she would be This is NOT a Greek mythology class. Wouldn't recommend if you are very religious

If you're not really good in philosophy or have no interest in philosophy stay away from taking her class. She gives 2 essay type tests and 1 true and false test. Her extra credit is just as hard as her tests. Her lectures make little to no sense and she doesn't write many notes. I personally wouldn't take her class again, very hard to do well.

Very hard grader. In my opinion the tests were hard even after doing all of the readings. She will call on you in class and get annoyed if you get an answer wrong, or ask her to go over a certain subject. Only plus is she gives extra credit and has a great attendance policy.

Oh my god do not take this class if you have no interest in religion because that is basically what this class is. She uses this class to impose her religious beliefs on you and she can get away with it because religious stories are technically mythology. THIS CLASS WAS HELL ON EARTH.

Do not take her. She should definitely retire. Her classes were tortuous. She's extremely unclear about everything she says. You try and take notes but shes too all over the place and does not repeat herself. She gives a handful of extra credits but their really difficult. Plus her exams are impossible. This class was so stressful. Stay away

Please don't take this professor. She is constantly berating younger generations and doesn't seem to care if it gets anyone's feelings or not. She has you read everything and basically asks you to regurgitate everyone you read during class and she gets pissed if you don't know how to explain something when you don't understand.

Shes a great professor because she is very into her material. She believes in making her students work so don't take if you want an easy A. At times she can be unclear & potentially intimidating but in reality she is a sweet lady. Tests are fairly difficult but she sets you up to pass if you're willing to study. ALOT of extra credit opportunity!

All over the place with the info you MIGHT need for the test. It's online, in the textbook, maybe it's in a worksheet, or maybe it was in the plethora of nonsense that happened during class. Discussions seldom pertain to any class relevance. Many xtra credits but not enough to surmount the nonsense. DO NOT TAKE.

Quite possibly the most interesting professor on long island. She has real life experience to contribute to her lectures. Be sure to do all readings and contribute to the class discussion. Although her opinions on topics are clear, she doesn't suppress anyone's freedom to their own. Very engaging and educational course. She was a pleasure!

She was an easy teacher as long as you pay attention, being a student majoring in psychology, the work load in her class is NOT that stressful. If you can handle a mature schoolwork load, and don't want to be spoon fed good grades then take her class. But if your looking for an easy ride, look elsewhere. I absolutely loved her as a teacher!
