Comment:
Not the best professor. Feedback on papers are vague and unhlepful. Doesn't respond to emails. Grades are unorganized and inaccurate. Best part of this class were discussions. Gave us pop quizzes with only one question after 3 readings. Pass or fail. You do the math. Avoid if possible.

Comment:
Paper grades were totally ambiguous with random or meaningless comments. She would correct her own corrections in revisions. Do not expect control over your grades. You get the grades she gives, not the grades you deserve. Get A's for horrible work and C's for the best. Would avoid if possible.

Classes are a little hard to get through sometimes, much more helpful to go see her after class. Nice & Helpful, but quirky. Class is hard, but not impossible- especially if you go in and get help.

Outstanding woman with integrity. Students complaining because of work load? Sounds like they should have gone to community college.

Prof. Gill is someone a lot of students fear and loath. Do your readings, participate in class, and you will go far though, stay on her good side. She went on to write recommendations for grad school for me and I was one of my most influential teachers.

felt like she was too demanding sometimes. not everyone in her classes are soc majors and she expected a lot. only 4 grades in whole class too. kinda makes it hard to recover from bad grade. she also was uncooperative in rescheduling a test for me.

Gill is a teacher who will go out of her way to help you. But you need to do the reading and the work. It's hard to keep up in her class otherwise and you will not do well.

Sandy Gill is one tough cookie and her classes were some of the hardest I've ever taken! She knows what she's talking about and is very knowledgable however she gives A LOT of work. Be prepared in class bc she gets up in your face about the readings.
