I got a C on my first exam, and Dr. Rosenthal made it very clear that I was not as smart as I thought I was! A great lesson in intellectual discipline. I worked like the devil for the rest of the semester. Key insight: philosophy after Descartes (the turn to the subject) is pretty much all epistemology. How you know what you claim to know.

I didn't know that other people thought the way that I did; had the same questions until I studied philosophy. Her introduction and explanation of worldview changed my life.

Statement 1: How anyone can say that Dr. Rosenthal cares about her students is beyond me. Statement 2: How she can be a respected scholar is beyond me. Proof 1: Rosenthall:"If you have any questions, do not come to my office." Proof 2A: She splits all philosophers into 4 categories. Proof2b: She thinks Dewey is a profound thinker.

Cares about her students and doesn't have any bias against non-philosophy majors.
