His quizzes and tests take some getting used to. If you show up to class and take good notes, you should do fine. He won't test you on material class didn't cover. There is a lot of reading, the more you get in the better off you will be. Books range in topics so there is usually one you really like and one you don't care for.

HATED HIM. Condescending and mean. Made cruel remarks to anyone with an idea he deemed superior to his. Not a tough grader, but an unfair one. If you don't know anything you get an automatic 60, if you know more than that you can never get above an 80. Refuses to help unless you only use his ideas.

He was my advisor and very willing to help me in any way possible. His classes are tough, heavy reading, but also very exciting if you are passionate about history. He is very intelligent and its shows in his work. Tough grader, but i think im a better writer because of him.
