Very disorganized, unclear lectures, won't respond to emails, locks you out if your late, and picks on students she doesn't like. Not good!

Sharon is okay, but a super slow marker (so tell her if she hasn't hand back your assignments). You could use her powerpoint slides as a kind of guide as to what you need to read and learn. Papers will boost up your mark. If you have too many exams/papers due from other courses, TELL HER , she will move due dates.

Comment:

Sharon is a sweet instructor and it's relatively easy to do well in her class. Readings are necessary for the exams and follow assignment rubrics carefully. You can afford to miss a few classes - lots off group/class discussion and she goes through the powerpoint pretty quickly. 1130 exam can be vague and questions are more applied knowledge

Comment:

She's scary at times. She gives you that smirk when you ask stupid questions which makes you feel stupid at times. Also, she's a super super slow marker. However, she's an easy marker on the assignments; her tests are tricky but that goes for other courses too in nursing.

She is a pleasant instructor overall. Lectures tend to be dry, and there are LOTS of readings. Assignments and tests were straight forward. Just make sure you follow the rubric carefully for every assignment and keep up with the readings and you will ace the course.

Comment:

Very nice and lovely lady, however, her lectures are pointless! She hardly talks about the material in class. You will be hearing, "It's in your readings!" a lot. Plus, it takes her months to mark papers. Note: her n1130 tests are tricky. But overall, not too hard of a marker.

Comment:

1109:consisted of 2 small papers, a big paper, a midterm and final. 1130: consisted of 2 midterms, 1 paper and a final. It takes her forever to hand back papers, so you don't get her feedback until you've already handed in all the papers. Doesn't reply to emails fast and lectures are useless her favorite sentence being 'this is in your readings'.

Lovely lady, very sweet. :) The tests are straight from the textbook and pretty easy. Only downside is that the marker takes an eternity and marks strangely (don't know where the marks are coming from a lot of the time...) The tests for NURS 1130 are harder, but fine as long as you study.

Her exams were really hard, even if you read the material and studied all the lecture notes. Don't expect the grades to be posted for ANYTHING in 1, 2 or even 3 weeks after midterms/ due dates. It makes is impossible to calculate your grade before writing the final exam.

A very, very nice teacher. Helpful and clear. Assignments are reasonable, just make sure to pay attention to grammar and APA style. Good PowerPoints too!

I enjoyed Sharon's class and managed to do well. The first exam was fairly easy, but the final was pretty brutal. Pay super close attention to the instructions for the projects, those can be your saving grace if you struggle with exams. Lectures and teachings (for lab) were sometimes a bit dry, but I found she was really helpful and kind.

Sharon is probably THE nicest teacher ever. She explains things well and sticks to the topic. She is very respectful of her students and is open to new ideas. She is a fairly easy marker. Her responses to emails are not very helpful, however, and she takes a long time to respond. Overall great teacher, though.

Very involved, good instructor. Does everything by the book. Focus on her powerpoints for exams. Attendance isn't mandatory but she does use quite a bit of her lecture material in her exams, so it's worth attending class regularly.

Hand down: NICEST instructor/person you will ever have! I didn't know they made people like Sharon anymore. Course was terrible but this lady defines, "TV Mom." Very understanding, kind-hearted,& fair. She's proof that not all seasoned nurses are jaded. Emotionally retarded ppl hate her self & others course but do what is asked & you'll be fine :)

Comment:

Very nice, patient, considerate, courteous. Gave longer breaks than necessary at times and gave in to some student demands to easily, but only a reflection of her kind character. Very approachable and helpful.
