Simeon is a wonderful, caring professor who has deep empathy for his students. He truly models the field in his instruction and genuine care for others. Simeon provides excellent insight and sets his students at easy. This low stress environment fosters growth and meaningful learning. He also has a great sense of humor which is a huge bonus! I

Internship class. Dr. S was very helpful, though he often seems way too busy to handle everything. He puts a lot of the work on you to find your site and work out a contract, etc. However, he's been helpful when I can get in contact with him. And he'll give you an extension if you need longer to get your hours.

I enjoyed his class a lot because none of the course material was very challenging. We did a lot of hands on work and had a bunch of guest speakers. He was a good teacher who was very in to what he was doing. He isn't really the best undergrad advisor though, so make sure you have someone else you can talk to during registration.

A great education professor. He'll make you want to go into the profession. He had interesting field trips, videos, speakers and lessons. The hands on lessons weren't my idea but are useful for elementary minors. His tests are easy and he'll give help with the paper. Culminating experience-teach the class for a hour with other group members fun

Very easy-going and laid back, very easy class -- a combination of boring or entertaining depending on your mood. He's a riot, and you can tell he loves what he does. If you have to take a FYS, this one is a good pick.

Great prof...lots of videos & hands on learning. Take home "mid-term" and "final" (get 1 question to write an essay a week). 2 counseling sessions, and a paper. I mean it's a required class, but Simeon's a riot. If you have the chance, take him!
