I have never had a professor as amazing as Sky. I walked into US History 2 expecting an easy A and it was not that all. However, he allows you to study and learn the stuff that is interesting to you. His exams were hard, as they were 8 essays each. There was also a research paper that was worth 25% of our grade. Sky was willing to help in any way!

I don't have enough good things to say about Sky. He's always willing to help with anything, school related or not. He makes you excited to go to class everyday. Make sure you take good notes & read the book!

Sky is the best. I would take a ton more of his classes. Engages with the material, teaches it in a totally different way from the standard "old white men did everything ever". Funny and personable. Does expect you to be able to write well. Lots of wiggle room for researching things you find interesting for credit. Amazing fashion sense too!

I took his african american history course in the spring of 2012. Regardless of what he teaches, he does so in the most interesting way and is extremely real about it. He takes great pride in what he does. He demonstrates the material he gives in the classroom with real life experiences. He also gets the students motivated. I would recommend him.

Sky definitely reinforced my love for history. I needed a higher history course and the only one open was his African American History. I am a petite white girl and was not positive how this would go. The class was very interesting and he is very enthusiastic which is contagious. Highly recommend.

Sky is a very energetic teacher. He is able to make nearly every aspect of what he's teaching and make it entertaining. He can find humor in many things. You will be graded on your writing ability though, the class feels like an english class at times. Sky has graded harder on my grammar than many english teachers I have had.

Ever since I was young I have had the opportunity to be taught by great educators and Sky is no exception. He can grab the attention of many with his compatible linguistics and warm attitude. Not only does he exceed expectations when teaching history but also gives advice that you can carry with you for life. Highly recommended.

I took almost every class offered by Sky. He is my favorite teacher of all time. Extremely understanding and knows that everyone has lives that things pop up in. Recommend him highly. You won't regret it to have him as a teacher and a friend!!
