Comment:

Stella is an excellent professor and cares for her students. She challenges you to THINK for yourself and form your own opinion as long as you provide evidence to support your arguments. She truly cares and will do whatever she can to help you. Easy to get an A as long as you at least TRY. She recognizes effort even if you're not a great speaker.

Comment:

I'm a 2014 Graduate & our class was fun & creative. At times a little chaotic but so were other classes. Stella has always been there for her students. I'm an actor and she has giving me permission to borrow wardrobe or if I need the green room or to go over lines on Skype or on campus, she is great! I am very lucky to have her support and advice.

Extremely rude to students. Isnt open minded & will bash you for your person opinions/beliefs when it comes to speeches. Always comes off with a derogatory tone towards students and never has anything positive to say about the effort students put in their work.

i personally love stella. her class is very disorganized and you don't need the book, but it's a lot of fun and she is very nice. the trick is to get onto her good side early on and you'll do great. i messed up on my speeches a lot but still got A's because i was on her good side. just do your work and don't be an ass and you'll do well!

We didnt do much in class the only time we did anything was when we gave speeches for effective speaking. mostly just sat there and listened to her and some other students complain about nonsense. She talks alot but has nothing to say. Class is very disorganized, she is very biased, not showing up even for legitimate reasons effects grade.

I really liked Stella as a person, but she's more of a critic than a teacher. You don't need the textbook, but expect to write up a self-evaluation after each speech you are assigned. Your speeches also have to be video recorded by a friend or classmate. It is easy to get an A! Attendance is very important!!!!

Stella is a very nice woman to know outside the classroom, but when you know her inside it, you will not be pleased. Her class is disorganized, her lesson plans are non-existant, if and you only pass study your stuff on your own. Nice lady, not so nice class...

teaching approach not great at all, extremely boring class- the woman runs around like crazy- she is unclear on her material, she is nasty definitely plays favorites right from the start, extremely disorganized, she can never seem to get it together... eccentric?!!? that doesn't even come close to what she is..

extremely biased if you don't agree with her she will pick on you in class & taking it out on your grade. Also extremely unorganized & can be very nasty to students when she is in a "mood" I wouldn't recommend her at all. Make sure you check with the 4 year school you are going to. WPU put this class as an elective for me, so I wasted my time

She's so nice once you get to know her...eccentric and can get a little crazy when she's under stress, like toward the end of semester or whatever. But a really good person, and great at directing. I love Stella!
