Extremely laid back and passionate about Scorsese and Coppola and Jesus. There aren't many assignments, but he's very open-ended and lets you do what you want. Most of all, the class is just a great time to lose yourself in Scorsese's and Coppola's films.

I took Religion in Film--one of the most interesting classes ever! Humpries-Brooks is a fascinating guy who is entertained and really got me interested in the subject matter. The class I took required a lot of self-motivation, however, as the only assignments were two term papers. I really recommend that everyone take a class taught by this man.

one of the best teachers at hamilton- very smart, very interesting. the subject matter was tough, but he helped get me through it. most of his classes only have a handful of students in them, so not showing up is noticeable, but he never outs you on it. highly recommend his class.

Class in parables is self taught. It was clear he really knows his stuff, however he did not share that knowledge with the class. His intention was to let us find things out for ourselves. Though that has good intentions I did not learn a thing. Really easy!

He assumes that you know the Bible in detail, which not everyone does. I went to him for extra help and he just kep dodging my questions and repeating himself. The class was Religion In Film, and he destroyed Dogma. It's possible.
