Very unhelpful. Yells at you whenever you ask a question. Also, his grading is stupid and DOUBLE CHECK THAT HE DID NOT GRADE YOU UNFAIRLY! He has had numerous errors on his answer keys this semester. Worst teacher or professor I've ever had.

Terrible professor. He constantly degrades students anytime we ask questions. It seems that his goal is to make you feel stupid when his goal should be to educate. He talks about random characters and it doesn't help you understand anything at all. His favorite is the "man on the street". Don't take him.

I went to his office hours several times but I was not satisfied. If you ask him question in class he will yell at you. He takes point off for no reason in HW and Exams. Leave him for the last resort. Before taking his class I loved the subject, but he made me hate it.

class average on exams is 40-60%, he says he won't curve, he comes to class unprepared and blindly tries to do the problems he assigned, he gets them wrong half the time, does not review for tests or finals, hes extremely unreasonable and stubborn, if you ask a question he makes you feel stupid, worst teacher i've ever had

He's awful. Yells when you ask questions, grades homework VERY hard. No quizes, NO CURVE. He makes his students feel stupid for asking questions and messes up on class examples. You'll end up teaching yourself from the book, and even if you copy homework out of the solutions book or get help the best you will get is an 8 out of 10

He yells at you when you ask questions. He gives homework problems and then the next day goes over them. The homework you turn in is graded very hard. If you don't do it the exact way he does, it is wrong. You have to teach yourself in this class.

I hate this guy. He makes you feel dumber than you already feel when you ask a question. Refers to skills not touched since 2 years ago and expects you to use them like addition. If you ask him how to do one of these skills he just repeats what he already said and makes an example of you.

Only uses the book for HW problems & 90% chance he cant solve the problems he assigns. Tests dont always reflect what he tells you to study but does give a lot of partial credit. Try not to be memorized by his weird hands. Likes to reference Alice in Wonderland w/ no REAL similarity between Alice & Diff Eq. DONT USE AN ELEPHANT GUN TO KILL A MOUSE!

He never really seems sure about what he is doing.He constantly screws up and we correct him as he gets confused.He randomly assigns 3-4 problems for homework every day, and often cant solve them himself without looking something up.Uses stupid things like alice in wonderland to "help" remember things.However, he does follow the textbook prettygood

Prof. Vayo seemed like he did not prepare for class ever. We would find his mistakes, and he would argue with us until he relized he was wrong. He also took off points for stupid things, and if you got the right answer but did it a different way he took points off, too. It was rediculous.

I took too many classes from this guy both as undergrad and grad and then had him as a grad advisor (many years ago). Lowsy adv. calc corse (5780 equivalent) & same for PDE course (5810 equivalent).
