Comment:

All you have to do memorize. and the fact that the professor is not technically sound you will end up memorizing the books and learn nothing. The professor surprisingly is head of IS which is really a shame given their are many another deserving professor who is more technically sound and has the ability to speak English fluently.

The only teacher/mentor/professor whom i'll remember the rest of my life. Classes are easy, if you're from technical background and love exploring ,easy A for grad classes. I got an opportunity to work with him beyond class and was truely amazed by his passion for his program and willingness to help.

There's quite a lot of work in this online class. Its basically a class that teaches a researcher how to research. You have exams that grade you on your ability to research. You write research papers about research and basically surround yourself with research. Easy class. Easy A.

Avoid this class with him if its the last thing you do. He's very helpful, easy going and has a very good knowledge of everything, BUT Ridiculous exams, 6-7 chapters of memorizing and essay type questions, its like we're back in the 80's! Unless your brain has a memory card, you will fail this class, let me repeat that you will fail this class.

Dr. Herath was a decent professor. Knows the subject. Open book quiz for each chapter, but the texts are extremely difficult. Class average on tests is below 70%. However, he is offering an extra credit project to help with that.

Has a lot of guidelines on his syllabus but not many of them were followed. Show up to class, get lucky with a decent group and you will easily get an A. Very quick to respond and very helpful. Recommend highly.

Took him in the summer and it was terrible! Had a huge group project that was alot of work, yet only worth 30% of grade... 2 exams worth 50% of grade and the second was the hardest test ive ever taken. Oh and his final the max grade you can get is 80%.He grades so hard and an A is almost impossible.Try to avoid him and take a different professor
