He's very personable and nice to those who are nice back. He is hard on those who can take it, because he knows it'll help them grow. You need to go to class everyday because it is very easy to fall behind.

Please understand that while Thom is a nice person who does want you to succeed, his Art History class is night and day from his Art 106-Computer Art class. He is a very tough grader, and expects an absurd amount of memorization. This does not make him a bad instructor, but I am warning you before you take Art History just because he's a cool guy.

He was an okay teacher. The class was fine. It was just sorta spooky how fanatical some of his repeat students are. He sorta doesn't get that not every student he had is going to react that same way and it bugs him.

ART106 - Thom is by far my favorite professor at LLCC. He cares about his students and you can tell. He loves what he art and is very knowledgeable at what he does. TAKE NOTES WHEN HE PUTS THEM ON THE BOARD and make use of them, I can not stress that enough. If you don't you will get lost. His class is fun and you will learn a lot if you listen.

Tom, or Pee Paw if you really know him, is a great guy. He LOVES art and really pushes kids to go for it. He is very inspirational and loves to teach. I haven't takes art history by him, I have heard, even from his mouth, that he is a tough grader in it. I have taken multiple classes with Tom and I love him as a teacher and mentor.
