He was very confusing. Talked too much and was not specific enough as to what will be on the exams. All he ever said was "There will be nothing on the test that I have not discussed in Class" okay he discussed a lot in class. If you're a History buff you will do fine.

OK. YOU NEED TO COME TO CLASS. HE DOESN'T GIVE GOOD NOTES IN CLASS. HE WILL GIVE YOU AN OUTLINE AND JUST TALK FOR 3 HRS. SOUNDS BAD BUT IS NOT. HE WILL EXPLAIN EVERYTHING THAT ARE GOING TO BE IN THE EXAM IN HIS LECTURE. HE MADE HISTORY INTERESTING AND ENJOYABLE. AND I HATE HISTORY SO THAT WILL TELL YOU A LOT. IM TAKING HIM NEXT SEMESTER FOR HIST20!

Funny in his own quirky way, very smart, and his explanations are very helpful. I've never been good with history but I got an A in the class thanks to his good teaching. Worth taking.

I think he's an excellent teacher. He has a complete understanding of the material he's teaching, and, as a result, so do the class. The time flies by and you're not just writing down words on a notebook page while listening to his lecture, but you're actually understanding them. HIGHLY reccomend.

he's ok. exhibited slight favoritism: cut some students breaks they did not deserve, in my opinion. nice guy, but didn't grade fairly when it came down to it. some test questions were rediculous. good, but not great. I expected more from him as a professor, so, as a student, I was at a loss.

Comment:

Prof. Napolitano is one of the best teachers I've ever had. He makes lectures stimulating and exciting, encourages class participation, and is open to all sorts of ideas. He also doesn't impose his own beliefs on his students, unlike a lot of other professors who tend to shower their personal/political etc. views on the class. Great public speaker!

Awesome guy, and very understanding. Lectures can be a bit boring at times, but tries his best to make it interesting. Do your readings and take notes, and you will do fine. I definitely recommend him !

He teaches well, always puts history in terms that we would understand. His analogies are GREAT! He is so funny. Not a lot of work, two papers, two tests. His tests are wordy and initially confusing. Must reread the questions sometimes.

Napolitano is an AWESOME teacher!! I was dreading this core class but now I LOVE it!! It' definitely one of the best classes I've taken so far. He speaks to you in a way that you will understand the material and remember it. Take his class!!!!

The sweetest man. Very down to earth, understanding, and knows how to make history class very interesting. Teaches in a way that the material sticks with you. Two thumbs up!
