Class consists of reading PowerPoint Giving information not pertaining to the assignment at hand. Late grader Gives false hope when going over your assignments before handing in. Impossible to get an A. Wont tell you why you got a bad grade on assignments Not clear on assignments what he wants and if you ask for help you get more confused

Professor Fine really cares about his students, however he is a hard grader when it comes to papers. On Fridays he does an online discussion about the topic we go over in class. There's around 3-4 papers and a group project that you have to present in the front of the class but it is really easy. Also make sure you read the stories.

Comment:

Other than his "always room for improvement" approach to grading, Will was a good prof. He was personable, helpful, and wanted to see us improve. This class was one of the least interesting subjects I ever had to study, but he made it bearable. If you want the chance to actually get a straight A, look elsewhere.

The course is a waste of time and Wil screws you on grading. It is impossible to get an A. I went to every class and participated and only got a 90% on my participation grade. And No matter how much feedback you get from him on your papers he will only give you a B or a B+ . Other than the papers there isn't too much outside work, which is nice.

William is a great teacher. He is very helpful and attentive to his students. If you are putting in the effort he will do anything he can to help you get a good grade. The class is based on a semester long project that is separated by 5 papers. They are a lot of work but not overwhelming. He has been very responsive throughout the whole process.

Wow! My expereince with Wil was completely different than that of the previous poster. Wil was extremely helpful and entertaining, too. His jokes about his wife were hysterical! I agree that he's a tough grader, but even though I earned a B in the course, that doesn't detract from the quality of his teaching. I learned a lot!

Bill is a fun teacher and very laid back. Just do your online journal entries and spend a decent amount of time on each of the two papers that are submitted because those are your only grades. No class for approx. 6 weeks throughout the semester. EASY A if you talk to him and ask questions/get feedback about your papers. TAKE HIM!

I agree. Bill is the man! While we do miss some classes because of conferences, the conferences are helpful. I learned more in those sessions than from sitting in class. Great teacher. Great guy. You want to learn how to write the essays that'll get you good grades in other classes? Take Bill. Highly recommended.

Best teacher I've ever had. Laid back, funny as hell, just a real cool dude. Doesn't care about attendance, rarely use book. Only grades are 5 papers, and 4 of them he tells you what you did wrong and you can go back, revise them, then turn them in for a grade. Cancels a decent amount too. Helpful guy. Overall, best teacher I have ever had.

This guy is by far the best English teacher, especially if you don't like to read at all. The class is comprised mostly of writing, and it's not hard at all as long you do the little bit of work that he requests. Take this guy for English 15!!

Bill is a very nice guy... he has helped me out when I needed it. H is very forgiving and understands your absence if you have a good reason. He is very relaxed, creates a very nice environment. HIGHLY recommend.
