I took his class over the summer, he openly told us the beginning of class that he does not water anything down, and he was 100% right. There's a lot of work for this class, and he's definitely a tough grader, but he wants you to succeed. He can come across as kind of rude, but I think that's just his personality. Work hard and you'll do well.

I took Scientific & Tech Writing with the man who wrote the book. I swear if you read the book and follow instructions you will get an A. Doesn't matter the teacher you pick. Also, sign up for the writing center and don't choose a hard topic. I never really went to him for help, I went to the writing center. It all about the work YOU put in.

He's funny and nice. Students have to read and discuss the reading in class. He gives pop quizzes in order to know if you're reading. 2 papers plus midterm and final. We had to read 8 books during the whole semester, it was kinda frustrating. You'll learn something in his class.

Dr. Magrino's class is a LOT of work, but if you do it, you will get at least a B. He's difficult to deal with, but if you go to his office hours - whether you think you need it or not - he will help you and he will like you more.

You can't even participate without being interrupted, and he doesn't let you contribute ideas even though he gets mad if you don't try to. He constantly contradicts himself in order to make sure to prove that he's right and you're wrong. But he is there if you need help and if you get the hang of it you'll do well.

Comment:

Learned a lot in this class. Attendance was mandatory, but you never felt like you were wasting your time - if there was nothing else to go over, he had no problem letting everyone out early. Grades sometimes seemed a little unfair. Very brash when answering questions, but answered them clearly nonetheless.
