Prof Payne is rude, and cannot teach at all! She doesn't care about the students and will not explain any thing to you even if you ask. She just push students to be under stress.

Prof Payne is exactly that a PAIN! She is rude, condesceding and cannot teach at all! She doesn't care about the students all she cares about is doing her research and will not explain assignments to you even if you ask. If you get her as your prof run in the opposite direction screaming because she will traumatize you and make you cry every day!!!

Comment:

Horrible. She does not explain anything to her students. Would hand back assignments but never with a grade. Sometimes you would ask her and she would say it was great, but once the assignment was returned, it was torn apart. Be clearer.

She was a Pain alright. Gave up a career in law to teach economics? Seems like a questionable economic decision to me. Course content wasn't bad, but she definately had a condescending attitude. Talked down to people in class. Didn't like to explain herself, got the impression that we should just accept that she was always right.

The worst thing was when i went to her office while the door was open, she told me "this is not my office hour, come back during my office hour." She was a lawyer, that explains a lot about her attitude.

A condescending prof who didn't seem like she wanted to teach at all. Completely unwilling to give any leeway to a student as far as when tests were written, and refuses to post her notes or accept email. Her tests were poorly written as well.

This is a hard course and this professor is demanding. Material is laid out well and effort is rewarded. She expects alot from students, but if the work is put in results follow. Keeps decent office hours if needed.

Has the potenial to be alot better. I think she is really tired when she gets to our later class. Writting notes is kind of a pain, goes really fast, and blasts you with information, and my sore brain has a hard time of decided what i need.

Sees students as the enemy. If the class doesn't answer her questions during class, she moves on rather than explaining or even mentioning the answer. Needs to realize that her purpose as a teacher is to TEACH, not to seek revenge. A very poor attitude.
