there are four essays total, no final and you have an unlimited number of revisions. The lowest grade you could ever get on an essay is a D if you meet the minimal requirements. Every week there is one or two reading responses due that have to meet the page requirement of two pages and its just analyzing which seems hard but it easy after a while

REALLY INTIMIDATING GUY!Makes you go the extra mile in deep thinking & HARDCORE writing. He expects to be moved by your essays by how SMART and CLEAR you are. I actually learned a lot from his class. It will be tough! But I don't regret either it cause now I'm a better writer and thinker at college level standards than a high school level standard.

This class is so hard . You need to write 28 reading responses (each 2 page minimum ) and 3 essays ( 7 pages ) . He is really really bad with grading , our class average for the WR 101 was D !!

Be prepared to write a lot- if you do the 2 pg reading responses due every class period and show up to class you'll be fine. (attendancepoints) You must really work for your grade. He grades the 3 major essays very harshly, so take advantage of editing them a ton. Very helpful, great teacher. I finished this class a MUCH better writer!

I really liked this teacher. In the beginning I was scared whether I can pass the class or not, but later I got so much interested in topics that he was using so that I was enjoying my time in his class because I knew he was there to teach me something good so I could use later in my future classes. If you wanna learn something productive ...

If you want to learn how to write, take this class! Granted, this class is a hard one, but it's a good one. You learn a lot and Andrew is very funny and makes learning fun. Don't expect a boring class where you just want to leave after 5 minutes, expect a class full of laughing and intriguing conversations with both students and teacher!

One of my favorite teachers. He actually makes you think outside the box and helps you become a stronger writer. If you are legitimately trying to benefit yourself in writing I would take him. You have to take the class serious though because it isn't an easy A.

I get why people say he's hard because he can be a pretty harsh grader. BUT all of the three major papers get a chance to be revised before the end of the semester. He asks pertinent questions and gives tips in the drafts to help revise the paper to an A. He can be pretentious and dry but I like him and learned a lot from him. A great class...

This class with Mr. Williamson was a very good experience for ENGWR300. I say this because he made the class interesting and he gave so much knowledge that I was actually able to see things a little different from before taking this class and i mean that in a very positive way. I am thankful that i was able to take his class this summer.

First of all, he's very clear & extremely fair with all expectations of his assignments/essays. And if you have any more questions he takes the extra time to help his students. Very fair and understanding of real life issues outside of class. It's not a piece of cake but if you want to actually learn something,it's perfect! He is really amazing!

the biggest problem I have with this professor is that he is very unclear on his expectation for each of the papers. As a student and a writer I found it frustrating that I get a A on a paper that I totally b.s and a c on a paper that I spent weeks working on it. Also lecture is extremely boring.

If you're enjoy literature and like to dissect the materials for meaning, symbolism, metaphors, etc then this professor is for you; on the contrary, if you are a novice writer and would like to improve your writing skills as well as to broaden your horizons, this professor will also help you out; be aware that its like jumping in cold water (hard).

AMAZING=) Can I just seriously say I think I'm a little in love with the guy...lol. He is absolutley brilliant. He's very intelligent and although this sounds cliche he definitley broadens your horizons not only as a writer but as an individual as well. The topics we were writing about were incredibly intresting and I don't think I've ever seriousl

I think this is one of the hardest classes I've ever taken, but the MOST helpful. I came out of it a more disciplined writer. This class opened my eyes to a lot of issues that I wasn't fully aware of. Come in with an open mind. He's a brilliant professor.
