Comment:

Professor Hurley is a great teacher. She is really organized and detail-oriented. I took her online class over the summer so there was no final. Just weekly quizzes and writing assignments. Overall I learned how to construct business letters properly.

Comment:

Professor Hurley's ENG 209 class is a great class because you will use all of the things you learn in her class after you graduate and so on. Although she is a strict grader she gives you all of the details, information, instructions you need to do every assignment correctly to get an A. She also gives you a TON of extra credit.

I got an A in this online class but I worked HARD at it. The teacher is very strict on the words you use and such ... I had a real tough time getting a good grade in this class. As long as you try, you can get an A but without the effort it's easy to not do well in this class.

This class requires you to do many assignments per week like an average of around 7. It may seem like a lot but they are very doable if you give yourself time. Time management is key. Online class is set up in a way that is very clear and organized. There's one essay that you do at the end but she splits up the writing process through the semester.

I took her over summer and her class is already set out. You have 6 writing assignments where you are placed under the company of BARKLAY'S. Extra credit was given in the end. But the tip is to do quality work on your writing assignments!!!! If I had to do it over again that's what I would do! Take her class you will learn a lot! Currently got a B

Prof. Hurley has an organized criteria that you should follow. It's easy to follow her class. I procrastinated some times and was still able to keep on track. Just put enough effort but make sure you do the homeworks with quality work.

Took Prof. Hurley over the summer and she was awesome. I thoroughly enjoyed this class, and learned a great deal of business writing theories that I could use after graduation. As long as you work hard, pay attention to details, and turn in your work on time, you'll succeed in this class.

I took this English 209 course online and for summer school. Professor Hurley is a good instructor. She's organized and presents well written instructions so that you can't go wrong. She's really good. Her class is setup so the whole time you work in association with the mock company, which she provides all the info about. Has a really helpful blog, will make you post on forum, gives feedback on drafts and is very fair.

ONLINE class. Ms. Hurley is a wonderful professor. She is helpful and very clear and concise on her assignments. Good amount of work, which is expected because its a WI class, but very manageable. Min use of textbook (rent online). She returns emails quickly and answers your questions thoroughly. I loved this class and recommend to everyone!

This is an online class. At first, I thought this class is difficult because it is an writing intensive class. However, it wasn't too difficult for me since professor Hurley would give students advises on their homework. You really can learn business writing in her class. I like this class. :)

Professor Hurley is a great professor. She expects high quality writing. I didn't have to read a ton. This course will definitely make your business writing more effective. She is prompt returning emails and is very structured. If you put in some effort, you can easily get a good grade.

Supposedly writing intensive... more reading intensive! The textbook chapters plus readings plus lecture notes. Grammar or misspellings were all or none (if you had one mistake, you missed all the points). Her readings and lecture notes were FULL of grammar and spelling errors. However, not a hard class, just be ready to read, a lot.

Great online class, a lot of work but if you keep up with it you'll do fine and you'll learn actual useful stuff (unlike some classes around here... lookin' at you hwst >_>) Ebook was kinda useless, costed way too much to be used for SOME multiple choice Qs on quizzes (and the actual writing assignments make most of your grade). Great class overall

Comment:

Online class. Lots of homework and lots of extra credit. A very organized class. Can be overwhelming if you're not used to a lot of work. Will learn very important facts for business. Proper writing of your Resumes, Cover letters, and Memos will be taught. Gives you skills that puts you above the rest. Nice teacher. Highly recommended.

I would recommend Ms. Hurley as a teacher to any one. Her class is very very organized on line, which makes it easy to do. I think that she is fair and strict. Do the work, put in the time, and there should be no reason not to get an A. NO Text which is a good thing. You can tell also that she does care about her students.

She's a great teacher! When she gives you a chance to have her review your work before due date, DO IT! It will help and prevents you from losing points. Lots of fun and useful information! loved the class!!!
