Comment:
Out of all my classes I would say I learned the most in his102. Not even strictly historical facts but how to be a better writer/critical thinker. He is a tough grader when it comes to paper's but he is always willing to help if ask for it. You can tell he truly loves what he does and makes an effort to know every student.

Dr. Crubaugh is a passionate lecturer who cares about his students. His teaching style is a little unorthodox as he pretty much rambles for the entirety of class, but he says some pretty profound things. Be sure to reach out for feedback BEFORE turning in your papers, as he is a tough grader. Definitely would recommend.

Comment:
Dr. Crubaugh was honestly great. I did the bare minimum in this class and still passed with a B. He honestly cares about his students, and learned all of our names. In addition, he also accepted late work which was cool. Had to rent 3 books for this class but I only recall using 2.

Comment:
He's very considerate with students and learns everyone's name. He's pretty lenient with assignments, accepting late work. He keeps class interesting. The only draw back is that the majority of class is based on four assignments that are each worth 20% of your grade. Those assignments aren't that hard but they can be long and boring.

Dr. Crubaugh has to be one of the best Professors at ISU. He is clearly enthusiastic about what he does and selects the best sources of any class I have taken. His outlook on history in general is extremely informative. In addition, while a bit of a tough grader, he is also fair and has clearly defined grading criteria.

He knows his stuff & is very passionate about teaching history. Also, he shows that he cares about his students. Only two exams and two five page papers. Don't fall asleep in his class because, he will take off points for it. The only minus is that he is energetic in the morning, which is irritating when you have him early. He is also good looking

Just when you think college couldn't get any weirder, Crubaugh comes flying out of no where and jumps on top his desk, as if to say Super Tony is here! At any rate, a whimp in disguise in my opinion. Not a terribly bad man, but I really didn't learn anything from him. Not very open minded to conspiracy theories.

Hey is very understanding. This class was a first trial. The class is meant for all History majors. He switched topics abruptly,so it wasn't had to catch on. He gives assignments but only don't take up much time to do them.

Crubaugh is a great professor. He is very helpful and understanding, and fosters learning. He is "strict" when grading, but he is only using it as constructive criticism. You should not do bad if you are trying hard and doing your best.

One of the best teachers in the department when it comes to classroom materiel, and most of his classes are excellent, but his Senior Seminar is another story. The course is poorly organized, and he tears papers apart late in the semester without enough time to overhaul them.

The best teacher I have had at ISU. I am a history major so I really enjoyed his class. It can be a very challenging class if you are looking for a gen. ed. class. However, he is very helpful when you talk to him at his office. There are 2 essays and 2 short answer and essay tests, but he was always willing to explain what you can improve.

Let me first say that he is one of the nicest professors i have ever had, truly a kind man. However he is a very tough teacher, his class is not a cake walk. It might be a hard class but you will be thankful you took it by the end of the semester. You will benefit from the difficulty of the class.

Incredibly intelligent, helpful, and friendly man. Like someone else said, this was by far the most challenging course I have ever taken. He is an extremely tough but fair grader. The course is very interesting. Dr. Crubaugh puts a lot of effort into the course and expects the same from his students. You will work for your grade, but it's worth it.

This class was one of my most challenging at ISU. There is a TON of reading, and he is one of the hardest graders in the History Dept. The exams and the papers are difficult and A's are definitely hard to come by. I would suggest another class if you are looking for an easy 300 level history course.
