Comment:

You can tell Professor Durham cares about her students because she constantly reminds students of due dates, gives test study tips and offers extra credit. If you watch her helpful videos (there are a lot but watch them all, especially the first few modules) and do the homework in MyAccountingLab after learning the concepts, you'll get an A.

Comment:

Shes very caring and offers a lot of extra credit. However, theres so much material. Each module has 2+hrs of lecture videos, the hw takes forever, ALL sessions are ridiculously difficult and over complicated ( thankfully only a participation grade, so show up), the exams are hard and the questions have tons of extra information to mislead you.

She is pretentious and hostile at times. If you need help on the in-class assignments, she will ridicule your group audibly in front of the class citing a lack of reading as the cause. Even when the test average was a D-, she blamed the students. She simply does not care. Take the class online or with a different professor if possible.

Comment:

Watch the videos, do example packets, and practice quizzes and you'll do fine. Make sure you put in the time to study. Very caring professor. REAL format class. Test are a bit heavy but as long as you go through every resource, you'll be fine. There's HW, brain booster questions, and quizzes for every chapter. You will be working hard to earn an A.

While she is an easy grader for the active learning labs, everything else will be the hardest thing you have ever done. The tests do not follow the same format as how you learn the material, the homework is nothing like the videos or the text book, and the exams are basically going to tank your grade. I wouldn't take it if you don't have to.

I didn't think this class was really that bad. You just have to keep up with the material and do the work. Study Cube helped a lot for the exams too.

best accounting professor ever. It was mostly online with 5 in class meetings. She posted all the modules with videos, homework, quizzes and brain boosters. She was always clear about when things were due and made the tests pretty easy. she used real life examples that made it easy to understand what was going on. DO THE WORK AND YOU'LL BE FINE

Professor Durham is honestly such a wonderful professor. The class is fairly difficult, but I would take her again just because of how much she cares. She always gives feedback, offers EC, and puts so much more effort than other professors. Shes so sweet and deserves to be respected bc she does lots of favors towards your grade.

This is a REAL class and it's pretty difficult. The three exams count for a lot of your grade. The videos per chapter are about 2+ hours. The in class assignments are a bit tricky and sometimes feel useless. This shouldn't be an online course. Be prepared to learn everything by video and on your own.

This class was pretty difficult for me, specifically the active learning labs and the tests. I always felt extremely overwhelmed with the amount of content to study, and the tests always had tricky wording and too much information (ex: numbers you dont use in solving the answer). It was a challenging and time consuming course.

She records about 2 hours worth of 10 minute video lectures to look at on webcourses. I found it best to read the book and then watch the videos otherwise the videos get confusing. Required to attend class sessions and have one makeup assignment if you miss one. HW and quizes are easy but 3 exams take up 60% of your grade and can be tough.

She has good lectures, and goes into a lot of depth. There are MANY tools offered to succeed in this course. However, I would say, it was a time consuming course. Read the book, watch the videos, and do the packets she gives!!!

Professor Durham is a great professor. Very good at explaining tough concepts and cares about her students. Highly recommend taking her!

She seems friendly, well intended, and well invested in her work, but I was bothered by the fact that she occasionally tries to trick you with quiz questions and the such. Trick questions are a low blow in my book. Be prepared for a fair bit of fluff if you take her. She's not terrible, but I've definitely had much better professors.

Durham is a great teacher in my opinion. She teaches in a very engaging style which is very helpful in what I believe to be a rigorous course. I took her during the new reduced seat time format and trust me when I say this the class was a lot of work. There are so many opportunities for success in this class though. Just keep up with assignments.

Durham has really worked hard to make this class (with the new reduced seating mode of teaching) accessible and do-able for her students. The lectures are fantastic, and the homework (aside from it being time consuming) is also very helpful. The tests are totally fine, too. Very easy A.
