A good prof if you make the effort to go to tutorial and actually talk to him. All the learning in this class is in tutorial so go and stay for the whole 2 hours and get what you pay for by asking him questions

Watch out! It seems like he has the idea in his head that his lectures are really clear and comprehensive. They're not! They totally don't prepare you or teach you anything, and his tutorials barely touch on the bare minimum! Start studying for the final early and seek out past exams! Take any source of help you can find - you'll need it!

The course contents are interesting, but he explains the materials in an abstract way like a surrealist. Sometimes you even feel discouraged to ask questions about what he had explained. The TA marking can be inconsistent and unforgiving. He does scale makrs up after the final, though, so he's at least reasonable.

THe super duper crappiest instructor in UBC alive today. Not sure why didn't he got price for that. Arrogant! Useless lectures, useless explaination, if you aren't in civil or mech or not even interested in that then it will be worst experience you can ever imagine.... I regreted taking the course for the whole term...

Dr Dunwoody is a nice guy but is very poor at explaining the technical matter in this course. He was responsible for teaching us software programs which he clearly was not good at using himself. His lecture slides were very unhelpful.

his presentation skills is very poor and he is not able to communicate properly with students. His midterms are very hard. He should use more pictorials and diagrams slides in his presentations and tutorials.

He appeared to be a good guy at first but when it came down to it his presentations were boring and he spoke with a monotoned voice. He was in charge of the course and I think he did a bad job at whom he hired for the teachers and monitoring their performance.

Stubborn unwilling to admit he is wrong. Poor presentation in class. Limited ability to understand student problems. After incorrectly desinging a question on the mid term, docked 15% of my mark when I solved correctly. He informed me that He designed the world for the problem so he must be right, and Ignored all other possible solutions.
