Agree with other posters who have noted Bruce's prolonged absences from the courseroom. Nice, nice fella but might make a better friend than instructor. He has many outside interests, apparently -- maybe too many to commit to teaching at this point in his career.

Bruce disappeared for extended periods of time. Also he provided NO grades at all, just his feedback" which was not very helpful (or timely) most of the time. I would not recommend taking him for this class.

He disappeared during the third week of class! When he came back the last week of class he tried to convince us that this was a creative way of teaching. I didn't pay big bucks for tuition so that the instructor could take a vacation during class. Someone else built the class - he was supposed to facilitate it, not vacate it.

Topic of futuring turned out to be very interesting. But Francis was AWOL for majority of semester. That's ok though since he set things up so well, he wasn't really missed. Maybe he really was just "letting discussions evolve naturally" without pressure to perform. Anyway, it led to some very bizarre political & theological discussions.
