She is very clear on what you will be tested on, if you just study the outline of notes she gives you, YOU WILL PASS! I loved her as a teacher and hope to take more classes from her in the future. Pay attention in class and study. She doesn't set ridiculous expectations, or give too much work. You will learn a lot.

Mrs. Szafran assigns books to read but they are not terribly long. Her lectures are informative for those who do not like history classes. She goes over what it is you need to know and doesn't expect her students to memorize every little thing. She grades fairly and makes it clear what the assignments are.

Very good teacher. She teaches her tests and is willing to help anyone pass. LOTS of notes. The only way you'll not pass is by being lazy and not studying. She is very organized. Taking her again next semester! I hate history but she helped me pass.

Amazing teacher. Very straight forward and hands you all the info you need to pass her tests. drops a quiz and major test grade at the end of the term. INVEST IN TONS OF INDEX CARDS!!! She is a very structured teacher, great for the structured learner like me.

Carla Szafran will make you think about how events from our past history are affecting us now. She's an excellent professor with a decent sense of humor, and you'll enjoy classes with her so long as you aren't lazy. If you have trouble in her class, it's probably your own fault.
