Comment:
dr. miller is pretty chill. she is kind of a scatterbrain which makes learning in her class hard at times. you are only graded on 10 quizzes, 10 in class assignments, and a discussion post. the quizzes could be sort of tricky if you dont read. i thought id get an easy A but got a B which is really hard to increase in her class. overall fine

Get a semester long project but she breaks it up to make it more bearable. Showing up to class isn't mandatory but if you show up she basically tells you what will be on the exam. You do have to read and do discussion questions but they are super easy. Would take again in a heartbeat. Makes this 400-level class feel like a 100 level class.

Dr. Miller does a great job of making her courses easy enough that you aren't stressed while still getting the content across to you. She is very random and funny. I enjoy that she does 5 mult. choice quizzes rather than large exams.

Dr. M is funny, random, and knowledgeable. But her lectures are very boring/monotone/lots of tangents. Her exams consist of all short answer, and there is some group work. Very average professor - good but not amazing or terrible.

Dr. Miller breaks down her assignments into several parts which make bigger papers much easier. Her courses follow a consistent pattern which make them easier and she usually adds in some easy participation points.

Someone who is passionate about sociology. She doesn't give many heavy weighted assignments, usually balanced through the quizzes and a few papers and discussions. Pretty funny, missed class a few times, just know when quizzes are and in class activities, which were always Friday for me. Cannot miss those.

Show up and take notes and listen. Exams are short answer but she gives you a study guide and tells you some questions that will be on there. Have 1 paper, a research project, in-class activities, and 3 exams. Likes to tell stories but she can be pretty witty. Have readings every week from 2 books but some of them are good reads.

I like her a lot as a person, as a professor can be unclear and doesn't give very good feedback. Lost a lot of point for random small things. Nice lady, but would not take another class with her.

Carol was a perfect prof. I am a biology major and she was very accommodating that not everyone is going to be a soc major and understand the material perfectly. She gives constructive feedback on papers. Fairly easy grader. Policy and society might sound like a boring class, but I very much enjoyed learning the material throughout the semester.

Rude grader. Insults all work no the quality. In class activities. Gets off topic. Likes to talk about herself. The only good thing was she brought snacks on Fridays.

Carol is laid back and very easy going. Class has one paper, 7 quizes, and some in class exercises (all are very easy). Boom, Bust, Exodus is very interesting and not bad to read. No exams are given.

This course covers a lot of content most people do not know about, so it's a bit difficult. You really only need to read the Global Sociology textbook to pass (lectures not too important, but are interesting). However, the online discussions are also tested on exams as a short answer. You have one paper in the course as well. Interesting course!!

The biweekly heavy readings are really interesting and help promote discussions (discussions are the content you are tested on). The few lectures, intertwined with her funny stories, are also tested on. And there's one paper. Easy course considering it is 300 level! I definitely learned content I never knew and is good for any gender, race, status!

TAKE DR. MILLER. She is a fantastic professor and her class is so easy. NO TESTS, EVER. One quiz each week on Monday but if you go to class and pay attention you will do fine on the quiz. One assignment each Friday but will let you make it up if you give her notice.

Dr. Miller is awesome! She's so funny and down to earth. She can even make the hardest subjects understandable. NO EXAM! You have a quiz ever two weeks. The quizzes are based on each place we "visit". You have 3 out of 5 chances to write travel blogs for each place we "visit". I recommend doing the first 3, just to get them out of the way.

Carol is awesome and so are her off topic rants. They are entertaining and are always (well almost always) relevant to something discussed in class. She can sometimes be a little unclear, but if you pay attention you'll catch everything you need to know. Very nice woman and I would definitely take another class with her!

Extremely easy class! There is a weekly quiz and handout, but they are so easy if you just read the textbooks. Class goes by fairly quickly. Best part is the movies, but class can be kind of boring at times. I found this class to be super interesting and thought-provoking. Only negative is I felt like she shared too much of her personal opinions.

Very easy if you just simply show up! In class activities that are super simple and 7 quizes throughout the semester. There are chances to make up the activities and a make up quiz. We also read one book which was actually very interesting and would discuss it every period. Watched various movies also. Great Prof and class!
