These other review are right in what they are saying, but if you are serious about doing well and passing the class then you will! She is very kind and helpful and definitely wants you to succeed. Her solutions for problems are very helpful, even though if not done her way it can be annoying. Put in the effort and this class is a breeze! Recommend

I had 011 and 012 Algebra with Prof. Carney. To be perfectly honest, shes a burnt out professor. Toughest grader. If something is half right she still marks it as a 0. Overall, I would not recommend her to anyone. Especially if you struggle with math like I do.

She teaches really easy shortcuts to do the problem. She's very sassy but it's hilarious at the same time. She grades fair. If you pay attention and put up homework questions on the board that you didn't understand you should pass the class with an easy A-B.

Ok, so her class isn't really that hard as long as you pay attention. She can be a little annoying at times but she's a great professor. Very funny and has a great sense of humor. All her little tricks actually do work. I highly recommend taking her for the easiest way of mathematics possible.

I feel that she is a good professor. She is strict when it comes to her tests and quizzes but it will really help you in 021. Since I have taken her class I was able to feel comfortable in 021.She really prepares you and im glad took 012 with her since math has b always bee difficult. I like how she always has hw questions b4 class.

She was a horrible professor! I had her for 011 and barely got by. She was recommended again by the Math Department and my tutor. Especially since she's known to help students with "math anxiety" I have terrible math anxiety. Not only did she make it worse, I found other ways to do the problems and even though it was right, too her it was wrong.

LITERALLY the WORST teacher I have ever taken at brookdale. I have nightmares about her and that class. I can honestly say I didn't learn one thing from her class because she is so difficult to understand, and gets frustrated with the class when you don't understand something. Do yourself a favor and DO NOT take her.

i was awful at math, or so i thought, until i took carole's class. she is extremely helpful at explaining things and helping you to understand any math problem. if you are a diligent student and you pay attention during the class, you will get an A.

Here teaching methods are EXTREMELY helpful. She explained everything and made it very clear. I did all the homework and in class work. Got an A. Her class is NOT for slackards! But if you truly want to get over math anxiety take her. I wish she taught 021/022 I would take her.

Carol is a VERY good math teacher. Her unusual methods were just what was needed for me bc I have math anxiety. I would definately take her for 025 and plan to take her for 131. I put in the work and got an A.

i havent had the need to take caroles classes (since she only teacheses the disabled kids) but i would go o her for help on my upper level class questions, because i figured shed know how to relate to a struggling student ..even if no disability was present. i do agree shes not very good at explaining things, and she seems frustrated and upset.
