Dr. Headrick knows her theater very well. I enjoyed taking the class because I have always loved theater and I wanted to know more about the history and where theater came from. The only thing I struggled with was the organization. She tended to jump around a lot and it got very confusing. The class needed to ask a lot of clarifying questions.

Unprofessional. Constantly name drops, goes off on tangents, does not respect other opinions, and seems to only like theater majors. She doesn't use blackboard so you have no idea what your grade is and she is very slow at giving assignments and tests back.

Great prof! Her passion for theater is very evident in the way she teaches. I liked the discussion times. Also, her quizzes were very easy to pass as long as you read the material.

Lecture is hard to follow and impossible to decipher what information is relevant. Terrible handwriting. Refuses to use technology to present the information. No blackboard. Movie clips are useless. Searches for obscure facts in book for test. Names drops random theatre people she know. Fail to see the relevance of any of the material presented.

She name drops like crazy. She is only interested in her acting students. The way she teaches the class is really laid back and does not represent how hard her tests are. She never mentions the book, but the tests are purely based on the book. If you know this info, you should do fine, but if you dont, you will be in for a surprise

Knowledgeable about her subject. Can be very aggressive and forceful with her own opinions, though. One of those classes where you feel like disagreement isn't really allowed. I don't think she's a mean person, though, just a strong personality. Reading is required, she gives quizzes on it. One paper. No exams. Discussion based class.

I had many classes with Charlotte (theatre major), and she was also my advisor and directed several shows I was in. Very intelligent, and a walking information source--loved her lectures. Pay attention and attend, she always covers everything that ends up on the tests. She is a bit of a perfectionist which can wear you out when directed by her, but the final production results are of high quality because of it.

I had Charlotte for Multicultural Theater. I hated all the reading I had to do in college, but in Charlotte's class. I enjoyed every minute that I put effort into her course. And what a wonderful woman, too. I only had her for this one 11-week class, but knew ME well enough to write me a great recommendation for a job. I'm glad I asked her, too, because no other professor on campus took the effort to know me like she did.
