you read a book then watch the movie and have a discussion. shes a sweetheart, and she really cares about her students. you have a couple papers and a group presentation. the quizzes are easy if you read and watch the films, theyre good though so do the work. id take her again in a heartbeat.

Slobod was a pretty solid professor. Lots of readings which often do the teaching for her. Be prepared to do a lot of group work. Was very pleased with the material she assigned us to read, but could tell this course was designed for people who care about literature. Class discussions are very helpful in getting a well rounded idea of what is read.

She's an okay professor. She didn't really seem to know much about the class and I don't think she's taught it before. She tried to struggle her way through the semester the same way students were forced to. Exams were bipolar - some were hard and required analytical insight, others were easy surface level questions. I wouldn't suggest her.

She's the sweetest teacher ever! She'll get off topic sometimes & talk about her family/friends but her class is definitely worth it. She likes people who participate so that's something you should do. Also, do your assigned readings because sometimes she'll just choose you on the spot & ask you about the reading. Super easy class!

355 Writing about Literature. She's not very clear; tends to wander in her thoughts. Demands class participation & will call on you cold at her leisure; but if you have an opinion on the readings, you're fine. Class is reading & essay writing. She threw in 2 quizzes once she remembered the syllabus. Overall, not hard but not that informative either

Excellent professor. I had fun and lots of laughs in the class. One of my favorite class this year. She is very nice and cares about her students.
