Dr. Manning is a great guy and has done a lot for the real estate program at LMU. His class can be demanding but it is clear Dr. Manning wants his students to succeed. Overall great course and I would recommend to anyone who's willing to work and and wants to learn Real Estate Investment.

Prof Manning really has a passion for Finance and its relevance in the world. He brings real world concepts into the classroom and makes learning them interesting and fun. I've already put into practice some of the lessons learned and have begun seeing a return on my investment. Great class, great professor.

I believe everybody has his strength and weakness. I appreciate the demandingness of Dr. Manning's class. I am sure I have learn a lot, mostly from reading by myself and lecture notes.not his teaching approach. First, in his class, don't expect clearly explaining, during his office hour, he is completely short. Maybe this is just his personality.

He knows his stuff and provides a supplement booklet which is golden because it gives you the problem and the answer on the following page (although it does not necessarily explain step by step). He has some difficulty in teaching cause he would just drone on and on and he was intimidating, which made it difficult to ask him something at times.

ARROGANT! That sums it all up. Basically, he is a hasbeen big shot that's teaching now. His body of knowledge is about 20 years old. He tries to be nice, but its too fake. With that said, he's a finance teacher and he does a good job of teaching you how to do the "math" for real estate. Worth taking but don't expect to learn much about the industry

I think Manning is the best prof in finance. He's hugely knowledgable but works you a$$ off. If you want to learn, take him, but be prepared to STUDY ALL THE TIME! He hates slackers. If you stay on top of the material, you'll do really well! But remember, he gives ALOT of work ..and he ISN'T arrogant!!
