Comment:
Although her grading is arbitrary and at times ridiculous, and although she gives far too much homework and makes her tests far too difficult, what is most upsetting is the absolute lack of respect she has for her students. She is mean, insulting, and outright calls us stupid despite the fact that it's her explanations that are unclear. Don't take!

Terribly unclear, awful class. If you are learning a romance language for the first time, switch classes to another teacher. She can NOT teach beginner Italian. She is much better suited to advanced. The class went from 23 to 13 people. Bane of all of our existences 6 years ago. (I'm PhD now)

Extremely unclear, will never take a class with her again. Had so much trouble teaching us examples in English. Sure, she has the Italian background, but in order to properly teach English people in an English country, you need someone who knows English well enough as well

She's a really good prof. She’s Italian from Italy so you get the best pronunciation along with trivia (something that Anglophone teachers can’t offer you even if they lived in Italy). Also, unless you just have no talent for Italian, she is very clear. She’s one of the nicest profs at McGill.

She's down to earth and gives fairly easy exams. She can confuse you at times but nothing serious. She's funny.
