Comment:
Taken online for interdis. req. Overall class was avg. Tough to read tone online for assignment feedback, but sounded rude, and not helpful. Tons of material online (lectures, slides, readings) and clearly laid out expectations/sched. so no excuse for not doing well on open note tests. Confusing online layout but Moodle is prob. more to blame.

Contrary to the other comments here, Dr Smith is a wonderful professor and is extremly knowledgable. His lectures can be a bit on the dull side at times, but he was always more than willing to provide help outside of class time. You will get what you give with his classes. If you are trying and work hard, Dr Smith is more than fair with grading.

Smith is just going through the motions of teaching his class--take advantage of it! You can manage to get a good grade just by doing the assignments and showing up on group days. He's too smart for his own good and that makes him a crappy teacher, but a really easy "A".

He is very rude and boring as well. The material would be interesting if he could teach. However, he does the grades by z-score making the class manageable.

Comment:
Class was a little boring (just reads from the overhead). But fairly easy to get a good grade if you attend class (even though it is not mandatory). Lots of reading with statistical analysis.
