This was one of two classes I took with Fields. He has great anecdotes for employment law and the online textbook makes it really easy to take notes/highlight important stuff for the exam during his lectures. He's really good at telling you what will be on the exam so you can narrow down your studying. Great grades are easily attainable.

This is a great class for anyone interested in international law, international business, or an intersection of the two. Fields is very straight-forward and honest about grading. He genuinely wants his students to do well and curves the class generously so that you can definitely get the grade you want, no matter your workload from other courses.

Fields is a nice guy who wants you to know the stuff. The textbook is dense but he's pretty clear about what you will and will not need for exams. Midterm 1 is the hardest, it just gets easier after that. You have to pay attention in class, but would def recommend.

Fields is a nice guy and informative prof. If you listen in class and generally pay attention, youll do well and learn practical information. Content is generally dense, but feilds is pretty helpful in office hours. He does a good job explaining difficult content if you take notes and read, youll do well. Gives pop quizzes, so go to class.

Great teacher and nice man. The textbook can be dense and challenging at times, however, he brings his own every class and marks in it on the overhead what you will be assed on and what is irrelevant. Paired with clear powerpoints the class has nice structure. Knows a lot about law and does a great job of explaining its complex ideas simply.

Not sure why someone rated Prof. Fields a 1. He's definitely a good teacher. At the start of the course he told you exactly how difficult each exam was. During class he would direct students to portions of the textbook that could contain test Q's. He taught with respect to real-life experiences in law! He definitely looks out for students.

Look, it's not a breezy class, but that's the material, not Fields himself. He knows what he's talking about, and if you pay attention in class, he'll tell you what's on every exam. It's not an easy A, but you'll get what you work for, and honestly, the class is more rewarding and practically useful for it.

I would say the best professor I've had here at USC - as a student with a diverse int'l business background, I felt that he was very practical, focused on the important concepts, and provided educated & balanced views for the way international business law is conducted today. Grading is clear and easy - just study what he tells you to!!

Mr. Fields is very unhelpful and unclear. He often did not seem prepared for lecture at all, and spent a lot of time ranting about the textbook quality, instead of discussing the material. His examples are often very long, but not illustrative. Studying for the tests is a nightmare; I just go back and reteach myself. I do not recommend this class.

You will learn practical knowledge. 2 midterms, 1 final, quizzes, and 1 group project. A very chill guy which can be bad cause toward the end of the semester, he rushes thru lectures. Gives a lot of real-life examples. Easy class that requires memorization of very specific facts. I studied 2 days before all the tests and pulled an A.

Kerry is a great guy and a great professor. He has a full time law practice with his son Kevin Fields, so he brings very practical experience to his lectures. His tests and quizzes actually cover the material in his book, which is great. You'll learn a lot in his class, have fun, and make a friend. One of the best professors I had by far.

Really funny guy, but his tests are pretty hard. If you put in a bit of work you'll get a B, but if you want something higher, you really have to work for it, be incredibly smart, or have the ability to memorize the textbook.

Prof. Fields is a great addition to Marshall. This is one of his drier classes because the textbook is kinda boring. However, he made sure to make the class entertaining. U will need a subscription to WS as there are questions on the exams, follow his twitter and u will be fine. His exam is pretty straightforward and the Fields curve will save U!

Tests are relatively straightforward as long as you read the book. Grading is very structured and literally everything is MCs (even participation) so you don't have to talk at all if you don't feel like it. Just go to class and you'll do well. He shares many stories and he genuinely cares about his students.
