Saucier is an awesome(!) professor. The class is lecture heavy but he's very organized with his lecture, as long as you take notes you will have everything you nee for his tests. He assigns 4 easy map quizzes throughout the year (online) that will help your grade. I'm not a huge history fan but I genuinely enjoy his class. Attend class, you pass.

I loved this professor so much! Lectures are very entertaining and in an outline format so it's easy to keep your notes organized (even if it is ALOT of notes). I never did the textbook readings for the test and still made an A on them. As long as you take notes like he suggests to on his Moodle and study, it's an easy A.

Dr Saucier is great. I took him online (BRCC History 2013) and it was a breeze. There's a weekly unit quiz, periodic map quizzes, all open book. He gives good feedback for any writing assignments and is easy to get in touch with if you have an issue. If you need a history class and he's available, DO IT!

I have him for an online course and honestly wish I could meet him in person! You can tell he is hilarious. Put in the work and it's an easy A! Quizzes once a week due every Friday, 30 minutes for 25 questions with an additional map quiz every couple of weeks (total of 5). No homework or assignments. Opportunities for extra credit if needed!

I absolutely recommend him! He gives his lectures in outline format (A - 1 - a), so everything is clearly defined. He will gladly repeat anything you need, and he encourages questions. He's hilarious, and relates everything together! I love his class, and he's my favorite instructor!! I would totally take his class again!

Dr. Saucier was the best history professor I have ever had. Hes funny, makes the material interesting, and he does offer extra credit. On the tests he offers a bonus question, but if you dont know the answer just write a fact about The Beatles and hell give you points haha. You do have to study and I recommend recording his lectures. Take him!

By far my favorite professor I have ever taken at SLU. His lectures are easy to listen to and he is never boring. Honors test are all written, but if you take notes and study how you are supposed to, you will not have problems with that. TAKE HIM!!! you will not regret it!! I have also heard that his online 102 class is great too!

All I can say is... WOW! Amazing. I might be impartial since I am a history geek but Dr. Saucier is amazing! Take him as much as you can. Lots of notes and not super-duper easy, but easy to comprehend and easy grader (at least in honors). Wonderful, helping, warm personality. My favorite professor at SLU!

Have to be able to take good notes. All exams are write outs (from lectures) & you read a book for every exam (questions are deep & require actually reading) and part of your exam grade is writing a 4-5 page essay on information out of the book. Final exam is not cumulative. He makes lectures interesting.

Dr. Saucier is an amazing, hilarious teacher. For example, in the middle of class he said"okay. Now there is three parts for this. The 1st one is the most important. I want everyone to write the same thing." he gives us a sec to get ready. Everyone is dead silent and ready to write. "see previous notes. Alright next." Then gave a mischievous smile

Great professor, good sense of humor, very patient and laid back. Has a mastery of material he teaches. Class is not easy as it takes reasonable study time- heavy on lecture material and book reports but if you take the time you will truly learn the material. Great teacher but a Beatles fan, gotta be honest... Yellow submarine not that great.
